Sustainability Implementation Blueprint – One Community Weekly Progress Update #707

One Community is pioneering a sustainability implementation blueprint that reimagines how we approach food, energy, housing, education, economics, and social architecture, all working together toward fulfilled living. Built entirely by volunteers, this model is designed to be self-replicating, laying the groundwork for a global network of teacher/demonstration hubs that operate for “The Highest Good of All.” We believe real change happens when knowledge is shared, not guarded, which is why we’re open sourcing and freely sharing every part of the process. The result: a practical path toward regenerating our planet and creating a world that works for everyone.

Jin Hua (Website, AdWords, and Analytics Administrator)  fixed a critical site issue. He checked onecommunityglobal.org’s sitemap and robots file after reports they looked “broken.” The sitemap itself was valid for search engines; Chrome was warning about an old way of prettifying XML in the browser, which was fixed on the server. The bigger issue was Cloudflare serving a stripped-down robots.txt that omitted the sitemap link and standard crawl rules, while WordPress looked correct in the admin. He corrected the Cloudflare setting and cleared cache, so the live robots.txt pointed to the sitemap again. The website is the foundation for sharing all open source plans for pioneering sustainability implementation blueprint. See below for images and Highest Good Network page related to this website restoration work.

This week, Akshay confirmed the backend fix for the Task Completed chart date filter against the development database, had two frontend pull requests merged for the Volunteer Status donut chart and HGN Help modal dark mode, and opened a pull request moving three Total Org Summary charts onto one shared donut component. He traced green buttons appearing in every pop-up window to a stylesheet from a recently merged pull request, and took over a large dark mode pull request, updating it with 785 newer commits, resolving 20 merge conflicts, and fixing the remaining reviewer-reported issues. Amaresh worked on five pull requests, fixing chart overflow on PR #5470, dark mode icons and a detaching dropdown on PR #5379, and layout crashes, filter dropdowns, and the Share PDF export on PR #5415, and opened backend PR #2381 to connect unused tool availability logic to its routes with full test coverage, contributing to the sustainability implementation blueprint.

Ansh tested PR #5576 for Team Page responsiveness, PR #5600 for the Weekly Summaries Report week-off notification, and PR #5607 for the Wishlist Availability route, and continued the Dev Header Edit Lock and History Tracking feature, designed to limit header editing to Owner-level users. Bosu added an optional reason when an account is changed from Rehireable to Not Rehireable on the Profile Page, storing it in the backend profile model, showing it on hover, and adding regression tests that pass 20 of 20 on the frontend and 11 of 11 on the backend, and he identified a remaining issue where the indicator resets after a page reload. Gayatri added a Requested Week Off notification to the Weekly Summaries Report in PR #5600, moving it beside the team code after review, and fixed the Equipment list update button in PR #5605 with backend PR #2379 so equipment status fields save and display correctly, work that supports the sustainability implementation blueprint.
