One Community believes “we are the ones we have been waiting for” and we are taking that knowledge and creating the future we know is possible. Our approach to global sustainable development is making duplication of a complete solution as easy as possible. We want to inspire people with what is available so the momentum and money of the mainstream is invested in creating additional teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities modeled after One Community.
This will also establish One Community as a permanent contributor pioneering a new paradigm of philanthropy and humanitarianism; a paradigm founded on giving people the necessary tools to better meet their own needs and desires by establishing themselves as sustainable villages that teach others how to establish sustainability too.
We see this as the key to transforming the way people live in developed nations while also facilitating the growth of comprehensive global sustainability as people realize that we are the ones we have been waiting for and create sustainability with cultures abroad too. Here is our weekly update (#29) covering our team’s progress for the week of September 9th, 2013.

The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub 3D continues to progress in 3D. We are the ones we have been waiting for and this last week we added all the new walls for the Social Dome, all external elements for the large-scale laundry area, and fixed the cupola roof design. Here are screenshots of these updates:
Also, here are the first 3D exports of the Dining Dome kitchen redesign compliments of the outstanding work of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services):
We are the ones we have been waiting for and the Straw Bale Village is now completely in CAD with the help of Dave Walen (Architectural Drafter & Designer and owner of Dave Philip Walen Design) Here is an export:
One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together. We are the ones we have been waiting for and we are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create because we are the ones we have been waiting for. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example of what is possible.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow because we are the ones we have been waiting for.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation since we are the ones we have been waiting for to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet. They will also transform the global lifestyle to a more enjoyable, fulfilling, healthy, and sustainable one.
The specifics of how we are the ones we have been waiting for and how we are accomplishing this can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
We are the ones we have been waiting for and even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model. This leads to the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, since we are the ones we have been waiting for, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer and we are the ones we have been waiting for to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for distribution of monies to help others to establish this model also.
One Community knows we are the ones we have been waiting for. We are building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits the community as only we are the ones we have been waiting for. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team as we are the ones we have been waiting for, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite more to participate as we are the ones we have been waiting for, by duplicating the world as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All. We are the ones we have been waiting for and are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open-source and free-shared blueprints because we are the ones we have been waiting for. We see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning.
Every aspect of this model supports itself and contributes to its success, from sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as those who want and need them because we are the ones we have been waiting for. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community believes that we are the ones we have been waiting for and sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place where people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open-source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community is creating blueprints for anyone interested in making a difference in their life and the lives of others. Everything we do is based on a philosophy of living and creating for The Highest Good of All. Our ultimate expression of this is the creation of open source and free-shared blueprints for self-sufficient and self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world. These teacher demonstration hubs, with One Community as the first, will comprehensively and simultaneously address food, housing, energy, social injustice and inequality, education, fulfilled living practices, and more. Our solution-based thinking and open source model is designed to address all of these areas together because they are all connected.
To achieve our goal of complete planetary transformation, and teaching people how to be true stewards of the earth, our 4-phase strategy for global transformation is specifically purposed to accomplish:
This is our weekly progress update (#28) covering One Community’s accomplishments for the week of September 2, 2013.

Here’s an example of just one of the interesting plants that will be grown in the Walipini #1 – Frost-free Arid Zone Desert House. Visit the complete planting and harvesting page to see the rest.
Circuela is a small drought deciduous tree in the Anacardiaceae native to southern Baja California. The tree is 10-15 feet in height with a low branching habit and compound leaves at the ends of of the branches. The flowers are small and white to green and are followed by a yellow to red 1-2″ sweet-tart edible fruit. The seed is also edible and is said to taste like coconut. They have been gathered by native tribes for centuries.
The stewards of the earth will grow this ciruela against the north wall to the east of the carob tree.
We will receive Cyrtocarpa edulis as a small tree. The plant forms deep taproots, and seedlings should be up-potted regularly until they have a full root system in a 5 gal pot, then planted in their permanent location.
Here is the most recent export of the earthbag village 3D progress compliments of the amazing work of Devin Porter (3D Graphics Design Specialist):
The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub 3D also progressed. This last week we added walls, doors, and windows to the mezzanine level, updated the cupola doors to represent the pivot doors they will actually be (and added windows to those doors), and we rebuilt the main entryway. Here are some screenshots of this progress:
Next week we should also be ready to post a significant update on the appliances in the Dining Dome compliments of the outstanding work of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services).

One Community is creating a comprehensive global solution. One Community’s open source project-launch blueprinting strategy and the fact that we are open-sourcing and addressing ALL elements of society simultaneously are a combination unique to our organization. Together these will help others duplicate what we do and create self-propagating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of positively impacting every single person on this planet within one generation. Here is our weekly progress update (#27) for the week of August 26, 2013.

This last week we continued to make progress on the Straw Bale Village with the help of Dave Walen (Architectural Drafter & Designer and owner of Dave Philip Walen Design) Here is his most recent CAD export:
The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub 3D also progressed. This last week we added windows, texture, and a bunch of other external details. Here’s an updated screenshot of our progress:
The Tropical Atrium 3D also progressed with the help of Devin Porter (3D Graphics Design Specialist). In the last week, he completed the addition of doors, the south stairs, and the north entryway and storage rooms. He also began working on the most difficult part of the comprehensive global solution structure, the artistic hands that will create the ideal terraces for internal growing in the north half of this building. Here is a combination of screenshots:
One Community is creating a comprehensive global solution for a place to grow together and change the world together. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example of what is possible.

This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices, and more. We are creating a comprehensive global solution with these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub of this comprehensive global solution. It will function as an experiential learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through a replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a comprehensive global solution within 30 years.
The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing a comprehensive global solution and it can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating a comprehensive global solution and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this comprehensive global solution.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.). We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate in this comprehensive global solution. By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own.
It is this approach we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes a comprehensive global solution is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those who do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living that addresses the complete human experience. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world in a comprehensive global solution.
As we address and open source share these areas we will establish a living example of the first teacher/demonstration village purposed to teach others. To maximally facilitate duplication, One Community will provide seven duplicable examples and function indefinitely as a place people can visit and a non-profit and open source think tank continuing to further evolve and share solutions in all of the above areas and more. We will also provide hands-on experience and training. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors for creating a comprehensive global solution. This is also part of this model to help the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement in a comprehensive global solution and industries, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, but we also address the underlying roadblocks to a comprehensive global solution by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate in a comprehensive global solution. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for the distribution of monies to help others establish this model of a comprehensive global solution.
One Community is building solution-creating models, a comprehensive global solution designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living in a comprehensive global solution that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning, work crews, and tourism will be the foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing itself, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All in a comprehensive global solution. We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open-source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning.
Every aspect of the comprehensive global solution model supports itself and contributes to its success, from sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as the people who want and need them. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open-source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere.
The most profound part is: that the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other as a comprehensive global solution:
Maximum exposure is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place where people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open-source blueprints: creating comprehensive global solution, a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community is creating transformational global change through self-replicating teacher/demonstration hubs. Our model includes open source and free-shared plans for food, energy, housing, education, Highest Good business, social architecture, and regenerative and stewardship practices. Of these, food is foundational and a specific focus through our open source botanical garden model and commitment to promoting and spreading food diversity by demonstrating that it is possible to grow and enjoy a level of food quality and diversity that FAR exceeds what people can buy in the grocery store. As we do this we intend to evolve the current food paradigm in a way that will help create global food sustainability and eventually benefit every person on the planet.
The following is a live interview on the Rick Hidalgo Show with Michael Martin (One Community’s botanist) and Jae Sabol (One Community’s Executive Director) discussing the details of creating sustainable food infrastructure capable of year-round growing the global diversity of food in almost anywhere in the world. We also discussed:

One Community is designing open source free-sharing plans capable of rebuilding the world in a way that works and supports everyone. To accomplish this we are creating what is necessary to create self-replicating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs that build, teach, and comprehensively address the foundations and interconnectedness of food, energy, housing, education, social injustice and inequality, and more. They also provide a more fulfilling lifestyle that is foundational to helping this model spread globally. This is our weekly progress update (#26) covering One Community’s progress and accomplishments for the week of August 19, 2013.

All plants are now done on the Tropical Atrium Planting and Harvesting Page! Here’s just one example from the 59 plants that are now complete on that page:
Mentha x piperita is a fragrant plant that flowers purple and grows 4-6″ tall. It is used in containers, rock gardens, as a border, ground cover, and in mass plantings. Variegated peppermint is drought-tolerant and resistant to deer, mice, and insects. It is used medicinally in treating indigestion, colds, and morning sickness. It is highly flavorful and used in teas, candies, desserts, and savory dishes.
This plant will be used as a filler plant throughout the TA, both on the fingers and the floor of the North 180. Its exact location will be determined near the end of the planting schedule. Its low growing habit, ability to attract bees and butterflies, and strong fragrance are the primary reasons for its inclusion.
We will receive this as a rooted cutting. Root division from existing plant stock, suckers, or cuttings is the recommended method of propagation, best done in the fall. Mint is an extremely easy plant to grow and is nearly indestructible. To reduce its invasive potential, plant it in pots that can be submerged in the ground. After first watering the plant, break up the roots if it is rootbound. Place the plant in a ceramic pot of good organic soil mix, if possible, as this allows the plant to wick moisture from the surrounding soil.
Using a plastic pot eliminates this potential and the plant within the pot will dry out sooner, but if holes are drilled in the plastic pot it will allow some seepage and wicking of moisture to the plant. After transplanting, again water the plant well. Most gardeners, due to the vigorous growth of the mint root system will gladly share their mint plants with you as they are usually glad to give away what they don’t need. Simply break off small root clusters and transplant them into pots or directly into the ground.
Herbaceous cuttings are also easily rooted in water, then planted as described above or if planted in an open garden, space plants 12″ apart, in rows 2′ apart. With all the mints the spacing is not critical, the further apart you plant the more time it takes to fill in; while closer plantings fill in sooner. To harvest, cut individual leaves at any time, once the plants have become established. To dry, spread leaves on a well-ventilated screen in a dry location out of direct sunlight. Store in airtight containers to preserve freshness.
This week we finished the 1st and 2nd floor walls of The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub in 3D including the time-consuming and tedious task of trimming the pieces that ended up external to the actual structure.

Dave Walen (Architectural Drafter & Designer and owner of Dave Philip Walen Design) is now putting the straw bale village into CAD. This village model is designed to demonstrate affordable, sustainable housing that can be modularly expanded with maximum ease. The straw bale construction method and torus design with centrally located bathrooms were chosen for this reason. As with Pod 1, the goal of Pod 2 is also maximum space and resource efficiency combined with artistic elements through semi-subterranean design, shared common spaces designed for specific common uses, water catchment off all structures, and more. Here is Dave’s progress from last week as he is putting this village model into CAD:
One Community is creating a place to grow together and plans for rebuilding the world together. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously rebuilding the world of respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible.
These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow on rebuilding the world.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent for rebuilding the world. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet and learn rebuilding the world. They will also transform the global lifestyle to a more enjoyable, fulfilling, healthy, and sustainable one.
The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing this can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of rebuilding the world and global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of rebuilding the world and the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.). We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people on rebuilding the world while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate.
While we understand that not everyone believes rebuilding the world is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to understand, rebuilding the world and design an open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living and rebuilding the world that addresses the complete human experience. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world.
As we address and open source share these areas we will establish a living example of the first teacher/demonstration village purposed to teach others. To maximally facilitate duplication, One Community will provide seven duplicable examples and function indefinitely as a place people can visit and a non-profit and open source think tank to continue rebuilding the world and share solutions in all of the above areas and more. We will also provide hands-on experience and training on rebuilding the world. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model of rebuilding the world.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help in rebuilding the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement in the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, but we also address rebuilding the world and the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.

One Community is happy to welcome 3 new consultants to the team with 3 very different skill sets. Dave Walen is now helping us with the Straw Bale Village designs, Rob Gjerde is now helping us with the SEGO Center natural pool and eco-hot tub designs, and Ryan Berretta is helping us with custom audio tracks for some of the time-lapse videos we are creating.
Dave Walen – Architectural Drafter and Designer: Dave Walen is the owner operator of Dave Philip Walen Design. He has over a decade of hands on experience working with licensed architects, engineers, and contractors for both residential and commercial spaces, both interior and exterior. Designing and illustrating as his greatest passion, Dave also co-operates Anamoglam with his wife where they offer graphics design, web, and drafting services. He has traveled the world and found additional architectural and cultural creative inspiration in Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Haiti, and the Bahamas. He grew up flying with his Dad (getting to experience Zero G!) in the South East of the USA. Now Dave and his wife live and offer their services in the Tryon, NC region. As a One Community partner Dave is converting the Straw Bale Village designs to CAD and helping evolve these designs into detailed building plans.
Rob Gjerde – Entrepreneur, Promotor, and Swimming Pool and Construction Expert: Rob is the owner and operator of Sorico Design and Consulting and the founder of Earth Day Global. He has over twenty-five years of small business management and music industry experience including an employee team as large as 40 and subcontracting with hundreds. Robs innovative designs and sound business practices have led him to speaking engagements and features in Better Homes & Gardens, a leading US Magazine. As a One Community partner, and sharing our sustainability goals with a desire to educate people how to use our natural resources in a more responsible respectable and economic manner, Rob is helping with the design and construction of the SEGO Center open source natural pool and eco-hot tub designs.
Ryan Nicholas Berretta – Producer, Composer, Musician & Remixer: Ryan Berretta developed a passion for music at a very young age. Reaching for the keys of his grandmother’s organ before he could walk, he received his first piano at the age of 3. Starting out as a self-taught artist, and performing by ear, his foundation is rooted in such classical masters as Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, & Tchaikovsky. By the age of 12 he had developed a keen interest in every instrument he could spend time with. From here, he began documenting his ideas involving various new instrumental ensembles and arrangements. At the age of 16, invited by his older brother Alex, he was brought into a recording studio for the first time to write a piano piece onto the label’s upcoming record release. From that point forward, Ryan was inspired to teach himself audio production, sound design & Foley recording. As Ryan traveled the world and experienced music and culture in over 50 countries, his music began to evolve. This brought more diversity and dynamics to his original productions combining Electronic, Experimental & Classical music. As a One Community partner Ryan is applying his musical talent to the audio tracks of One Community’s time-lapse videos related to our open source tools, tutorials, and resources. To check out more of Ryan’s work, visit rnberretta.com or his facebook music page.
