This page is a free-shared lesson plan archive for teaching all educational subjects within the context and theme of “Honesty and Integrity”. It is purposed for use in community education environments, homeschool environments, traditional schooling environments, or as a supplemental and fun addition to any education program. A NOTE ABOUT ALL ONE COMMUNITY LESSON PLANS
The One Community lesson plans are intentionally designed for use in ANY educational environment and with ALL educational, cultural, religious/spiritual, and philosophical approaches to teaching and learning. They are designed without an ideological approach and specifically so they can be adapted to include the views, preferences, methodologies, and/or ideologies preferred by different parents and teachers.
For maximum flexibility and adaptation, they are also designed to be combined to teach multiple subjects at the same time. Doing this increases the creativity, effectiveness, and fun of your learning environment. Once we are on the property and operating our version of the complete school and Education for Life program, we will be adding video examples of how to combine the lessons. TEACHING ARTS AND TRADES WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY
|
|
The Arts
- Draw a picture or sing a song* that you think represents honesty or integrity.
- Make a collage of pictures* that you feel represent 15-20 words that are synonyms of honesty and integrity, and include a key that lists the word for each picture.
- Create and perform a play or puppet show* that teaches 10 lessons about honesty and integrity.
- Create a series of 5 carvings, embroidered pieces, and/or sculptures* that depict honesty and/or integrity.
- Do an analysis of 10 types of musical instruments and create a multimedia presentation* that creates an ‘argument’ for what instrument type and the specific instrument you feel produces the most ‘honest sound’, including a infographic ranking of instruments on a scale of the honesty of their sound. In your paper, support your arguments with the sounds they produce, mechanics of how they work on their own, how their sound works with other instruments, and the history of the instruments and music they have produced.
- Do an analysis of 20 elements of painting (colors, types of paint, accessories, etc.) and write a paper* that creates an ‘argument’ for ranking them in order of the degree to which each supports the honesty, integrity, and ‘essence’ of painting, giving the most full explanation on the one you put in the #1 spot.
- Do a complex exploration of ‘what is the most honest form of art?’ Pick your top 5 and compare and contrast them to create an argument for what you feel is the #1 most honest form of art. Share your findings and your research in an open source public format that will help to expand the concepts of these art forms*.

Trades
- Choose 3 professions you consider honest professions and explain* why you feel they are honest.
- Pick a trade and make a short presentation* of 5 elements that you feel help you bring honesty and integrity to that trade when you are doing it.
- In relation to a trade of your choice, write a 5 page paper* about the concept of an honest day’s work and what that means to you, including what you feel it is, and what it is not.
- Create an ‘honest and integrity index’ for rating trades and rate 25+ different trades and create a report* that explains the reasons for your rating of each on the index.
- Pick 3 trades from the blue level molecule and write a 3 to 5 page paper* about the importance of honesty and integrity in those fields.
- Create an ‘honest and integrity index’ for rating trades and rate 50+ businesses within one or a few trades of your choice and create a report* that explains the reasons for your rating of each on the index.
- Do an analysis of the history of a trade and whether, in your opinion and research, the honesty and integrity within it has evolved or devolved. Create an open source guide* that includes that information, and a guide* on how you would suggest improving it.

Note: Any language can be substituted for English. The subject is listed here as “English” because that is the primary language of most of the people on the team, and the official language of the country we’re building our initial location in.

TEACHING ENGLISH WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

|
- Discuss* 10 different words for honesty and integrity.
- Create* a poem using 7 different words for honesty and integrity.
- Write a story* about the honesty/integrity of 20 examples of ‘silent’ letters and words that use alternative letters to spell sounds, for example the word phonetic is not spelled phonetically.
- Choose 10 literary styles and choose criteria and rank them from highest to lowest on a scale of most to least ‘honest and in integrity’ and write a 2 page paper* including your criteria and why you ranked each the way you did.
- Choose an author whose work or style you believe is honest and/or in integrity. Using that author’s style, write an entertaining story* about and rank* the honesty and integrity of each of the punctuation marks, including the history of each and the criteria you use to rank them.
- Choose an indigo level communications or sociolinguistics element to study from the perspective of improving honesty and integrity in communication, and create an open source strategy* to implement it in a way that would dramatically improve the communication in a specific industry, community, organization, or on a global scale. Implement some version of this and include the results in your final presentation.
- Explore and rank the levels of honesty and integrity of the linguistics used (language used within) within 30 different industries (medical, mathematics, politics, arts, economics, engineering, etc.) and then either: A) Write an in depth paper* about what you learned from each of the top and bottom 5 and what would happen if you applied the strategies for highest integrity to the bottom 5, and lowest integrity to the top 5. OR B) Create an open source solution* for how to move the lowest 5 dramatically up on the scale and focus on the impacts to the world that doing so with one of them could make.

TEACHING HEALTH WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

- Describe* two examples of how being honest could improve your social relationships and emotional health.
- Create* 5 new specific honesty practices for yourself and explain how they would impact your social relationships and emotional health.
- Do a review of literature* on different exercise practices/products and their effects that are greatly advertised but might be false advertisement and not in the alignment of honesty and integrity.
- Interview 5 different people* on how they think complimenting, praising and encouraging others in an honest way is a win-win situation for everyone in terms of emotional health.
- Go to your local supermarket* and analyze 20 different food products* for non-beneficial components for your health within the ingredients (emulsifiers, stabilizers, added sugar, etc.) and conduct a research of different names used for ‘hiding’ ingredients in food products that some people consider to be ‘bad’ for your health. Create an open source resource* that shows the actual ingredient, all the versions it may be listed as to ‘hide’ it in an ingredient list, the reasons why some people consider it to be unhealthy, and the historical information behind the name changes for that ingredient.
- Do an exploration of and rank 20 spiritual practices in what you consider to be the most to least aligned with honesty/integrity*, and write a paper providing explanations* for your rankings, and strategies for improving each.
- Write a dissertation* on global business that possibly struggle to retain their integrity on having ethical work conditions.

TEACHING MATH WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

|
- Count how many things/items you possess and then count how many things you honestly really use/need on a regular basis. Discuss* your results with someone.
- Come up with 3 different time and money comparison charts* and compare different values of time and different values of money* to draw honest conclusions how time money could dictate your and other people’s time.
- Analyze the reasoning of the flat world model and round world model* in terms of area, surface area and volume and why for a long time the flat model was perceived as an honest representation of the world’s form.
- Evaluate the probability model of overpopulation and its effects* on economic, infrastructural and supply numbers. Do a honest estimation* of the change that would be possible in terms of cause and the upcoming change of numbers.
- Look at common misconceptions* that were drawn from surveys, experiments, and observational studies and check what is true and what is not*.
- Look at regional businesses and develop strategies* for using the mathematics of project planning and project management with integrity to improve their ethical work approach. Present findings* to businesses.
- Write a dissertation*on how global economics are possible to be mathematically financed in terms of which resources are actually available without bringing the earth’s ecosystem out of balance.

TEACHING SCIENCE WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

Life Sciences
- Rename 5 animals and 5 plants in a way you feel ‘honestly’ describes them. Make a collage that shows* the animals labeled with their new names.
- Make two lists*. One of what you feel are the ten most ‘honest’ animals, and one of what you feel are the least ‘honest’ animals, and list 1-2 behavioral traits to support each of your choices.
- Create a graphical overview* of the transparency of current waste disposal systems, how they work, how people use them and how waste gets ‘hidden’ into wastelands and the oceans.
- Show integrity by analyzing your DNA and Genetical Code* to get more information about your being as a human and looking into where you genetically come from.
- Write a 5+ page research paper* with conclusions around honesty and integrity in animal communication, specifically around the Reliability and Deception in Signaling. Use this as one of your 5+ references.
- Hold a media guided presentation in a regional university* on how our nervous system is telling us the truth vs. giving us false signals.
- Execute an international think tank* questioning the truth and reliability of global businesses (e.g. Coca Cola) financing health science research of science, and the identification / creation of other viable alternatives that would be even more in honesty and integrity.

Physical Sciences
- Make an honest list* of how many different materials you know and have used before.
- Describe what you feel* about the importance of energy and electricity in your life, describe honestly what it contributes to your life.
- Research 5 optical illusions* that are caused by light.
- Research the history of chemistry and physics* to see if there have been dishonest arguments made and accepted, evaluate any instances you uncover and the reasons behind them in a 5 page paper*.
- Plan and conduct a scientific investigation to test the hypothesis* of the conservation of energy in relation to keeping up with a lie (e.g. inventing more lies in order to continue a story and make it plausible).
- Investigate in a scientific topic why governments are often not telling the truth in order to keep something hidden from the public (e.g. dangers of electric and magnetic fields, dangers of radioactive decay) and share findings over social media with linking to sites that discuss and relate to this topic*.
- Create, execute, and write a scientifically valid dissertation or published research study* discussing the value of theoretical chemistry and physics and the question of when something becomes a truth being scientifically proven.

Earth Sciences
- Write down 5 examples/situations* you have heard or come up with for exaggerating/ not telling the truth about weather or temperature (ex: it feels like I am melting).
- Make honest predictions* based on researching observed patterns (not random guessing) concerning the natural resource of water and its scarcity in the future.
- Differentiate observation from inference (interpretation) and know scientists’ explanations come partly from what they observe and partly from how they interpret their observations and look at false claims* made in the past with the solar system. Create a visual display* of your findings.
- Recognize and analyze* whether evidence is consistent with a proposed explanation and how Earth and life history, fossils and radioactive dating are accurate and true. Write a minimum 10 page report* about your findings.
- Evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of data over a graphical report using infographics* of local climate changes and discuss the possible reason for long denial and lack of integrity of the government and economy of global warming informing its locals.
- Formulate explanations over a multimedia presentation* by using logic and evidence that science has to adapt to changes over time revealing old theories as untrue with focusing on the evolution of galaxies and earth’s place in the galaxy and present at a regional science consortium*.
- Create, execute, and write a scientifically valid dissertation or published research study* on the topic of global ecological integrity and how to maintain it. Open source it after completion*.

- List 5 common lies* that you have heard people tell to evade responsibility, how it has affected others and discuss with others why they are told.
- Research one story in each of 3 different cultures of your choice about honesty/truth telling, and/or integrity, and give a short presentation* about how strongly that culture portrayed their view on the importance of being honest.
- Organize a group discussion* and discuss the question*: How do white lies in terms of encouraging others in times of struggle (compliments, praise, etc.) correspond to honesty and integrity? Afterwards gather ideas and create infographic about white lies.
- Create a pros and cons comparison chart* of social norms and their types to show whether or not always being bluntly honest by expressing you opinion creates possible conflict.
- Create a inner dialogue template* for your community how to resolve on interior speech and self talk improving honesty and integrity in your actions.
- Hold a media-guided presentation* with another group. Evaluate acting upon honesty and integrity within the roles we play in different social settings, environments and groups.
- Hold a speech on a international stage* about the question: What does it mean to think globally (with focus on global ethical integrity)?

- Find 5 websites *that tell you more about yourself (e.g character tests to evaluate personality). Discuss* findings with friends.
- Analyze* and create an infographic* on how social media corresponds to honesty and integrity in terms of representing your true self vs. playing a character.
- Research 20+ websites and make a top ten list* that teaches you to be more honest including brief explanations of why you feel those are the top ten resources you encountered.
- Create a podcast* discussing honesty and integrity in daily living.
- Take a look at local data of information management and sharing systems and analyze how they represent honest representations (statistics vs. common knowledge) and share your findings in a visual display* at a local community center.
- Take part in a regional technological event and do a media guided presentation* to show if governments and institutions might be holding back scientific research in the past and present and therefore stalling possible technological advancements.
- Write a valid dissertation or published research study* on global technological companies that might have a less honest and unethical approach and how they could improve.

- What happens to the speaker, the listener, and others (in terms of perception, processing and consciousness of information) when I tell a lie? Provide 5 example scenarios*.
- Discuss the question* if lying (white lies) about facts in terms of alternating truths can actually enhance the creative exploration process for coming up with something new.
- In a 1 to 2 page essay* compare* cheating/copying versus integral learning/memorization and their outcome on test taking strategies in school systems.
- Design a leadership model* of interpersonal collaboration and management techniques while focusing on honesty and integrity.
- Compare different personal organization systems focusing on approaches that have high integrity in time management vs. procrastination, and deliver a infographic* that juxtapose the two approaches.
- Find and get in touch with regional innovational people and interview them about what honesty and integrity means to them and write an article to submit to a regional magazine/newspaper*.

- Create a template/tool* for showing gratitude towards people around you by showing them how you perceive them as a character and what you appreciate about them adding a positive impact to your life.
- Do a collaborative team brainstorming mindmap* on the value of honesty and integrity in terms of its influence, impact and consequences.
- Lead a discussion* on how collaboration, alliance and partnership aligned with the value of honesty and integrity creates value for forming powerful bonds and unity within a group of people.
- Create a poll with ten powerful questions* to make people think about the value of honesty and integrity, ask at least a hundred people (locals) questions such as:
