One Community believes a sustainable future is possible if enough people if enough people want it. For that to happen we feel a working model with widespread appeal must be created. It should be affordable, applicable across a diversity of cultures, globally accessible, created so that people with average knowledge and little or no experience can duplicate it, and it must have a marketing engine capable of exposing enough people to build the necessary momentum for it to continue on its own. This is what One Community is open source project-launch blueprinting and here is our weekly progress update (#16) covering our accomplishments for the week of June 10th, 2013.

Here are the details of our progress for the last week and everything discussed in the above video…
The aquapini designs towards a sustainable future are now moving forward again in 3D thanks to the help of one of our newest partners, Ziggy Tolnay (Database Systems Designer and Founder of The RBE10K Project)! Once we’ve got everything we are capable of creating into 3D we will then be shifting these back first to our partner Avery Ellis (Aquaponics Specialist and owner/operator of Integrated Aquaponics) to double check the plumbing and filtration and then to our partner Charles McLean (Architecture & Urban Agriculture Designer, Professor, and owner of OM Greengroup) to put it into Revit so we can run real-to-life simulations. Here’s the first series of 3D export photos:
In addition to the 3D progress on the large-scale production aquapini, we’ve also completed the research, formatting, and refinement of the first 7 trees of the Large-scale Food Production Aquapini Planting and Harvesting Details. Here’s an example of just one of them:
The casimiroa or white sapote is a tree in the citrus family native to Mexico. The tree is normally 15-30 feet tall, but can be kept smaller by pruning. They are highly productive, with some varieties capable of bearing fruit nearly year-round. Trees prefer full sun and infrequent but deep watering. Since it is in the citrus family, the blossoms are attractive to bees; the flowers produce pollen but little nectar.
The apple-sized fruit have the sweetness of a pear and the texture of an avocado. The paper thin skin can be eaten, but sometimes has a bitter resinous taste. The skin tends to “slip” when ripe, and can be easily removed. There are 1 to 5 seeds near the center of the fruit. Freezing the peeled, seeded fruit to make a dairy-free “ice cream” is a good way to deal with the abundant crops and create a sustainable future.
The Casimiroa tree will be placed against the north wall of the Aquapini to avoid casting shade on other parts of the house. We will receive this plant as a small grafted tree.

The Tropical Atrium will create and demonstrate an aesthetically pleasing and functional multi-purpose facility that will serve as a tropical fruit production facility combined with multi-purpose recreational use that will easily invite members of the community/village/city to want to spend time in this space. Here are this week’s 3D exports compliments of a friend of the project Devin Porter:
In addition to the 3D Tropical Atrium work, this last week we also completed the cost analysis details for everything that will be planted in this structure for a sustainable future and the details of our pollinator attraction strategy:
TA PLANTING COST ANALYSIS | TA POLLINATOR ATTRACTION STRATEGY
The earthbag village 3D continues to progress thanks to the help of John Bassist. Here is the open facebook group specifically for 3D work and collaboration on One Community’s models and others. You can see our on-going work there. Related to the 3D progress, here is a mockup of the entire village:
We’ve also now gotten the first 9 domes specifically in place and with the correct number of windows facing in the correct direction. Here is an image of the 2D drawing (above) and the 3D creation based upon it:
First 9-Dome Cluster Property Positioned in 3D and with the Correct Number of Windows
The next step towards a sustainable future is adding in the surrounding earth so people can see the surrounding slope.
We have also completed the details of the earthbag construction time investment projections and complete tool and equipment needs and cost analysis. Here are those two pages:
EARTHBAG VILLAGE BUILD-TIME | EARTHBAG VILLAGE COST ANALYSIS
Open source and free-shared sustainable development policies are another area that One Community is open source project-launch blueprinting in support of the Highest Good of All and a sustainable future for all. For those interested in joining us in our goal to build and evolve open source and free-sharing self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities all over the world, we just completed the following 3 portals outlining the three business models we are developing and open source sharing:
We’ve completed the infrastructure and first phase tutorial for our global collaboration database of others building similar structures and their experiences, adaptations, etc. This page will evolve to include:
We’re also super excited to be able to announce our most recent partnership with Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now! Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now is a group working on bridging to a RBE (Resource Based Economy) from the current system. Sharing resource based economy values, a similar strategy for global transformation, and the belief that a sustainable future that benefits all people is possible, One Community and Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now communicate and share information and resources weekly (and sometimes daily) in our progress toward this goal for a sustainable future.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together. We are creating a space with a sustainable future that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices, and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges and a sustainable future through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable future for the planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet. They will also transform the global lifestyle to a more enjoyable, fulfilling, healthy, and sustainable one.
The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing this can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation and a sustainable future, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more toward a sustainable future. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience of a sustainable future with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.) towards a sustainable future. We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate. By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own.
It is this approach we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes this is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model. This leads to a sustainable future and the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for a sustainable future that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help the world and create a sustainable future. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable future by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for distribution of monies to help others establish this model for a sustainable future.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process of creating a sustainable future globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate a sustainable future and an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive-exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All. We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a sustainable future and a Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see a sustainable future transitioning.
Every aspect of this model supports itself and contributes to its success, from the sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as the people who want and need them. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of a sustainable future. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place where people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open-source blueprints: creating a sustainable future and a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community is happy to welcome Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now as our most recent partner! Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now is a group working on bridging to a RBE (Resource Based Economy) from the current system. In the Hybrid Communities and Towns no money will be used between working members, money is only used to buy and pay for absolutely needed items from/in the current money system. There is co-op ownership of businesses and residential properties for members to work and live in. The plan is that each member works just 20 hours a week in the co-op businesses and in return receives free rent, free utilities, free food, free local transportation, and other free benefits needed to live happily. The purpose of this model is to show others a better way of life now to gain the necessary support of enough people to transition the whole world to RBE. Sharing resource based economy values, a similar strategy for global transformation, and the belief that a completely sustainable planet that benefits all people is possible, One Community and Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now communicate and share information and resources weekly (and sometimes daily) in our progress toward this goal.
Thank you Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now and Michael Knight for all you do!

We are bringing together the stewards of the earth to create a path to earth stewardship for anyone who wants it. Our strategy to accomplishing this is by operating as a for The Highest Good of All 501(c)3 non-profit organization and open source free-sharing everything needed so people interested in participating in stewardship and transformational global change can do so anywhere in the world. We are doing this in the form of seven comprehensive sustainability village models that provide what we feel most people will consider to be a more fulfilled way of living.
The components of these models will be able to be duplicated modularly or as complete and self-propagating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that are not only model solutions, but solution-creating models that provide even more research, blueprints, and necessary support for successively easier and more affordable and creative duplication everywhere. This is our weekly progress update (#15) covering our accomplishments for the week of June 3, 2013.

Here are the details of everything discussed in the video above…
Our stewards of the earth have completed the large-scale food production aquapini planting map! This map is for our open source aquapini and walipini planting and harvesting details page that is being built out with complete details of every plant that will be placed in the location of one of the numbers below. Coming this next week is the open source tutorial for gathering, formatting, and sharing each plant and tree detail.
Large-scale Production Aquapini Planting Map – Click to Visit the Open Source Planting and Harvesting Page
In addition to the aquapini planting progress, our stewards of the earth also continue to work on the Tropical Atrium planting and harvesting page. We are very close to finalizing the first 20 plants on that page in the format we will be using for all plants and trees in our Highest Good food sharing and open source project-launch blueprinting process. Here are the overview pages for both the aquapinis and the Tropical Atrium:

The earthbag village 3D continues to progress thanks to the help of our stewards of the earth, John Bassist and Johnnie Torres, and we now have our first 3-dome cluster complete with a patio, stairs, benches, etc. These domes are designed with 10 windows so we can delete all them down to two (currently planning one North and one South-facing for passive heating and cooling) as we position them in the correct place for the entire village. To facilitate moving the 3D work of this village and all other aspects forward even faster John also created an open facebook group specifically for 3D work and collaboration on One Community’s models and others. You can see our on-going work there:

One Community is purposed to design, build, and provide everything necessary to duplicate complete open source and free-shared self-sufficient nteacher/demonstration community, village, and city models. The earthbag village is the first one we will be building and this last week we also finished the final layout update necessary so we can take the above 3D work and apply it to the entire village. Here’s that update (forgot to mention this in the video blog) thanks to the amazing work of one of our many stewards of the earth, Doug Stenhouse (Architect and Water Color Artist):
Our water catchment open source portal is now updated with our complete water catchment projections for the Phase I build including:
Here’s an example of what is possible in less than 4 YEARS. Visit the updated page for a video and complete details.
We’ve finished 11 of 12 and only have one page remaining for the complete Curriculum for Life component of the open-source and free-shared Education for Life program! This last week our stewards of the earth finished adding images to the Community, Family, and Social Skills curriculum page as well as completing (content and images) the Freedom and Celebrating Different Perspectives curriculum page. We also built out the foundations of 6 more pages of the Evaluation and Evolution component. Here are the links:
COMMUNITY CURRICULUM | FREEDOM CURRICULUM | EVOLUTION & EVALUATION
Thanks to the ongoing work of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services), the SEGO Center City Hub 3D continues to progress too. Here are the most recent screenshots from Karl:
Also, here are some screenshots of the progress of Andrew Sadera (Architect Drafter and Designer) working on the cupola roof design:
Huge gratitude and thanks also go out to Meg West (Landscape Architect, Permaculturalist, and founder of Meg West Design) and Jennifer Engelmeier (Eco-pool and Spa Specialist and founder of www.LoveYourPool.com) for their on-going work, introducing One Community to Phil Charlton and Western States Design who are our newest partners helping us with our eco-laundry details, and for a fun and productive lunch last week!

Our three investor pages are updated and complete! This is super exciting because it A) took a ton of time and B) because what would help One Community the most right now would be funding to secure the property, which will help the evolution of sustainability progress. You can visit our LOCATION ESSENTIALS PROPERTY PAGE to read about all the work we’ve already invested in this location and the criteria used during the 2-year selection process. We feel securing this property is currently the #1 largest step we could take because it will:
The three updated investor pages are regarding property details, our most comprehensive overview of One Community, and funding options. Take a look at the pages and please SHARE THEM if you’d like to help us! “Likes” and “Shares” on these pages specifically are super helpful because they spread the word AND demonstrate that people are interested and supportive of what we are creation.

EVOLUTION OF SUSTAINABILITY – FOOD PROGRESS
Here’s our first generation details map of exactly what will be planted in the large-scale food production aquapini. Every number has a corresponding plant or tree and those details are coming soon too. Next step along with building out the plant details on the planting and harvesting details page, is to combine this map with the building layout plans and clean it up as a usable and duplicable blueprint for others to follow. As a means of facilitating the evolution of sustainability, we will also:
We’ve also continued to make progress on the earthbag construction open source village with the help and volunteer work of John Bassist (organizer of this e-group hub wiki as well as this Needs/Instincts Centered Economics (NICE) Facebook page).
These pictures show the domes with 10 windows to help us achieve the final product of a 75 dome village with each dome having one window facing North (passive lighting in the summer without excessive heat) and one facing South (passive heating in the winter), creatively facilitating the evolution of sustainability. Once we’ve got this one dome exactly the way we want it, we will duplicate the model 75 times for the whole village, add in the patios and stairs, add in the landscaping, etc. and then delete 8 of the windows off each dome to leave only one facing North and one facing South.

Additional earthbag village drawings were also completed this last week by Doug Stenhouse (Architect and Water Color Artist). These drawing reflect addition of the buttress walls and the elevation changes we had to make due to the plumbing necessary for water collection.
This last week we also completed the Community, Family, and Social Skills curriculum page! This is our 3rd to last page of the Curriculum for Life component of the open source and free-shared Education for Life program.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together with the goal to achieve evolution of sustainability. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves while.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication which will aid in evolution of sustainability. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
As a strategy that will aid in evolution of sustainability the One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.).
By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own which will then eventually help in the evolution of sustainability.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living that addresses the complete human experience. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world with the goal of attaining evolution of sustainability.
As we address and open source share these areas we will establish a living example of the first teacher/demonstration village purposed to teach others. To maximally facilitate duplication, One Community will provide seven duplicable examples and function indefinitely as a place people can visit and a non-profit and open source think tank continuing to further evolve and share solutions in all of the above areas and more. We will also provide hands-on experience and training. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model and the increase in demand will help in the growth of evolution of sustainability. This leads to the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations and doing this will also help in the evolution of sustainability.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies, all these will come together to expedite the evolution of sustainability.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for distribution of monies to help others to establish this model also.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process of evolution of sustainability globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling.
Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive-exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, that will support in the evolution of sustainability by moving onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world which will help in the evolution of sustainability widely.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning in the direction of evolution of sustainability.
The most profound part of the evolution of sustainability is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure which will help in ensuring that the evolution of sustainability is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models which will help in the evolution of sustainability.

One Community is always seeking other organizations and people changing the world so we can work together and create what we know is possible even faster. Our most recent partners Ziggy Tolnay and his organization RBE10K are great examples of the kind of people and organizations we seek to work with. Welcome to the team Ziggy and RBE10K!
ABOUT US | OUR TEAM | OUR PARTNERS | HELPING OVERVIEW
Ziggy Tolnay – Software Developer and Database and Systems Designer and Administrator: Ziggy has over two decades of experience as a Software Developer and Database and Systems Designer and Administrator. In 2010 he began his journey with social activism and has since participated in the design of city systems with The Venus Project, coordinated the Sydney Chapter of The Zeitgeist Movement, and was also one of the pioneers of Occupy Sydney. Now, Ziggy is the founder and currently one of the coordinators of The RBE10K Project, an experimental non-commercial self-sufficient community of 10,000 volunteers planned to settle in 2015, and who’s goal is erradicating worldwide poverty, war, and unsustainability within an adult lifetime. Sharing One Community’s values of sustainably thinking and creating for The Highest Good of All, Ziggy is part of the team working and collaborating with One Community on our evolving infrastructure including food, energy, and housing.
RBE10K (Ziggy) http://www.facebook.com/Rbe10k
RBE10K is an international community effort for designing and planning, by the end of 2014, a social arrangement engineered to satisfy premises of full sustainability, self-sufficiency, equality, freedom, health, and access to the necessities of life without using money, trade, or authority or privilege systems. It plans testing the design, based on minimalism/simple living and the Resource-Based Economic Model (RBEM), in a two-year-long trial beginning in 2015, conducted and fully financed by 10,000 volunteer inhabitants. It’s ultimate goal is producing an attractive and proven design, easy to replicate, in the hopes it will be increasingly adopted until becomes available to every person on Earth without a price tag, and thus eliminating poverty and significantly reducing worldwide cruelty, environmental degradation, and the stresses that lead to war. Both the project itself and its design are based on the principles of voluntarism, horizontality and openness, and are coordinated and supported by several open source tools such as Mediawiki, Libreplan, and Bettermeans. RBE10K and One Community are partnered together because we share our foundations of Highest Good of All thinking, open source creation, sustainability, resource based economy implementation, and the belief that we as a species have the ability within one human lifetime to create a world where every person has access to the food, clean water, energy, and housing they need. Working together we intend to create this world faster for everyone.

The owner of the property we have been working on purchasing for the last two years has offered us amazing seller financing and given us an opportunity to re-engage at a new level those we know who are helping us try and find funding. We still haven’t found the funding we need, but this seller financing option has definitely opened up possibilities and so we are seeking with new vigor the person we know is out there to help us either as a financial investment or donation to our 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
As part of this we are making significant updates to these three funding related pages:

The Tropical Atrium is moving forward and this week we’ve finished adding all the associated links to Wikipedia for every plant on the Tropical Atrium Planting and Harvesting page. We’ve also completed as a ton more formatting updates and additional behind the scenes organization and simplification to make all easier to use and understand once we put it up.
Here’s an example of what all 57 of the plants will look like on this page when completed:
Celosia argentea are brilliantly colored plants and come in three types that are easily distinguishable from each other: plumes, crests, or spikes. These will look like plumes of jewel-colored feathers, wrinkly-looking knobs, or elongated cones. This plant loves direct sun and well-drained soil. It ranges in size from dwarf varieties (4-12″) to vigorous types over 3′ tall.
Aside from culinary uses, primarily we will grow this for its accent color and the fact that these annuals (sometimes classified as short lived perennials) allow us to add variety and constant change from year to year by rotating various colors in different locations. This plant is not labelled on the map but because of its tolerance for direct sun, anywhere on the lower fingers near the middle of the terraces will suit it well.

Charles McLean (Architecture & Urban Agriculture Designer, Professor, and owner of OM Greengroup) has said he’s completed the first generation 3D rendering of the Aquapini Design. We hope to have an export we can share of that this week as well. Here’s what it looks like in 2D:
Here it is at the beginning stages of 3D:
Here is the 1st generation 3D rendering of the earthbag village domes thanks to the help of John Bassist (organizer of this e-group hub wiki as well as this Needs/Instincts Centered Economics (NICE) Facebook page). We’re now working on getting one very detailed dome and then we will duplicate this 75 times and start laying out the rest of the whole village in 3D.
All the individual existing educational systems analysis pages are now complete (Montessori, Waldorf, Orff, Reggio, Multi-Intelligence, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Study Tech) and we are now focusing on the Foundations of Teaching and Communicating component. Stephanie VanderKallen (Mental Health Professional and Teacher) also continues to make tremendous progress on the Evaluation and Evolution component of the Education for Life program and we’ve begun to post this work on these three new pages:

On the road to answer how can you change the world, One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.

One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. We believe creating a new earth is a process of:
We are on our path to accomplishing these three focus points and collaboratively creating this new earth with the people who agree with us that it is possible. One Community’s physical location will forward this movement as the first of many self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world. This is our weekly progress update (#12) covering our accomplishments for the week of  5/13/2013.

The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing hghgthis can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
It is this approach of creating a new earth we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes this is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living that addresses the complete human experience in regards to creating a new earth. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world.
We will also provide hands-on experience and training for those interested in creating a new earth with us. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model. This leads to the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly and escalate creating a new earth internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help the world in creating a new earth. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand for creating a new earth increases, so too will the ways to participate.
The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process of creating a new earth globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs and that will help in creating a new earth.
Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options that will aid in creating a new earth.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the of creating a new earth model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning.
Every aspect of this model supports itself and contributes to its success, from the sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new that can be used in creating a new earth.
The most profound part of creating a new earth is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible in order to expedite creating a new earth. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure of the creating a new earth model is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

We believe no-impact living is a choice and we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing a model for self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built all over the world to make it easier for The Highest Good of All. Here is One Community’s team progress update, images, and video blog covering our accomplishments and forward movement for the week of May 6th, 2013.

We moved our entire website from http://www.OneCommunityRanch.org to where you are now at http://www.OneCommunityGlobal.org! We have wanted to do this for a long time but the effort needed to make it happen in conjunction with everything else we are working on was just too much. Well, we finally realized that the website is growing so fast that we had better do it NOW or it was just going to get more and more difficult to do in the future. Just a few of the reasons for this move were:
There are a few details still being completed (deleting old pages from the old site, sharing all the new pages through our networks, continued editing and simplification) but the vast majority of the move is already done including:
“LIKE” AND SHARE THE PAGES YOU ENJOY THE MOST! When we moved the site we lost “all of our social media love” in that all our pages now have zero likes and shares on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Some of these pages had hundreds before this move and now they have none… which is really sad for us because we loved seeing and sharing with others all the support and appreciation we’d gotten on some of these pages.
We’re now committed to FURTHER SIMPLIFYING and then sharing a page a day (in addition to new content) to get our message out to the world even more. If you’d like to help us, just liking our posts or helping share some of these new pages is more helpful than most people realize because it helps us show investors and other interested parties that what we are doing is wanted, supported, and interesting to people.
Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) continues to work on the SEGO Center 3D! The SEGO Center is a huge aspect of our approach to making no-impact living mainstream because it will replace the traditional living room, dining room, laundry room, kitchen, and library for over 200 homes… all in one building. This will reduce materials costs, increase the beauty and experience possible in these spaces, and dramatically increase efficiency, and allow for a new level of no-impact and “positive impact” research, development, and demonstration for people to visit, experience, and duplicate.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together through no-impact living. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible since no-impact living is a choice.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge growth on no-impact living.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub for no-impact living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet via no-impact living.

One Community is happy to welcome Stephanie VanderKallen to the One Community team of Consultants and Volunteers helping with the development of the the Education for Life Program. Stephanie is a teacher and a mental health professional who graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2001 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She then pursued her teaching credential and began teaching special needs students. She has worked in both public and private education settings spanning a broad diversity of socioeconomic background and holding positions including Teacher’s Aide, General Education Teacher (pre-schol, Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten), Special Education Teacher (grades 8-12), and Skills Trainer (early intervention in home, elementary and high school; ASD, E/D, Bi-polar, PTSD, MR, LD). Stephanie is now working on her Master’s Degree in Marriage and family Therapy and brings her experience, passion, and desire to create and implement an innovative, collaborative education paradigm that will improve the social, emotional, physical, communicative, academic, and career success of all.
Stephanie’s driving force behind helping and world change is wanting her son to have the best future possible. Combining this desire with her experience and passion for education has led Stephanie to specifically focus on and help us with the development of the Portfolio Template and Collaborative Team Model. Together we are working with Stephanie to evolve our current review and evolution process into a new and improved structure that will better provide the following for all participants in One Community and/or the Education for Life Program:
Welcome to the team Stephanie, it is a pleasure to create world change with you!
"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
