One Community is happy to welcome Global Dome Homes to the Highest Good Collaborators Team:
Global Dome Homes (Hajjar) www.globaldomehomes.com
Global Dome Homes is an organization devoted to revolutionizing the way we build. Inventor and natural builder Hajjar Gibran created and perfected the Global Dome Homes method of construction using his testing site at Miracle Springs in the jungle of northeastern Thailand. There he created picturesque and durable structures that have excited international attention. Operating under the belief that a safe and beautiful place to live is a basic human right, Global Dome Homes is making access to this essential need as widely available as possible in a way that doesn’t take a toll on our environment. Their path to doing this is through open sourced plans to allow others to construct their own homes using their intuitive, inexpensive, and eco-friendly design, while continuing to offer construction workshops as Hajjar has already done all over the world. The organization is also in the process of creating designs for implementation in disaster relief and disaster prone areas, as well as making their buildings available for social projects and eco-villages around the world. In the spirit of Hajjar’s famous ancestor Kahlil Gibran, Global Dome Homes seeks to offer one of the tools for a full and harmonious life for whoever wants to build a safe place for themselves and their families. As a One Community collaborator, Global Dome Homes will be helping One Community build and open source share comparing an aircrete dome to an earthbag dome as an alternative option for the complete Earthbag Village.

One Community is advancing the standard of living through Highest Good education that is for all ages, applicable in any environment, adaptable to individual needs, far exceeds traditional education standards, and more fun for both the teachers and the students:
This last week the core team finished 50% of the Spring-themed lesson plan webpage that teaches all subjects to all learning levels in the context of the central theme of “Spring”:
And we completed the first 60% of the images and descriptions for the English Subject page:
One Community is advancing the standard of living through Highest Good food that is more diverse, more nutritious, locally grown and sustainable, and part of our open source botanical garden model to support and share bio-diversity:
This last week the core team finished adding the diversity details to the heirloom and organic Turnips section of the large-scale gardening page. We added 9 and featured the only two that had enough available online information to create feature details:
We also completed the details for Oca, an Andes root vegetable that looks like the 10 you see featured here. Click the image to visit the page with complete cultural considerations, planting guidelines, and sourcing and purchasing details.
One Community is advancing the standard of living through Highest Good housing that is artistic and beautiful, more affordable, more space efficient, lasts longer, DIY buildable, and constructed with healthy and sustainable materials:
This last week the core team began measuring and inventorying all the components of the Murphy bed furniture design for the earthbag village domes. What you see here is the first 25% of this process for the end cabinets that will then prepare us to create detailed wood and parts purchasing lists, building instructions, and then, as part of our upcoming crowdfunding campaign, complete finished examples, timelapse videos, and video construction tutorials. Here is a collage of what we’ve completed so far:
Related to the crowdfunding campaign, we also added lodging and camping option details to our crowdfunding campaign webpage:
Amira Kessem (Mechanical Engineering Student in Israel) also finished several weeks of research into traditional plasters that you can see posted in it’s raw form on our new open source plaster page. We’ve also added the beginnings of eco and natural plaster details compliments of Scott Howard (Sustainable Building Expert and Owner of Earthen Hand Natural Building). Click this image to be taken to the page being being created that already hosts much of this information:
One Community is advancing the standard of living through a Duplicable and Sustainable City Center that is LEED Platinum certified/Sustainable, can feed 200 people at a time, provide laundry for over 300 people, is beautiful, spacious, and saves resources, money, and space:
This last week the core team added another 30 seconds of scenes to the Duplicable City Center construction in 3-D video that showcases over 2 years of 3-D design work. Here it is with a series of additional still images acting as fillers at the end of the video to show the earlier development of this structure while we continue to work on the rest of the 3-D video components:
We also continued our exploration and analysis of heat pump efficiency and benefits. What you see here is a chart of the benefits of a specific heat pump we are evaluating when used in combination with a solar water heater, heat exchanger re-capturing heat from used shower water, or other method. It is comparing this to a tankless water heater. The bottom of this chart is the incoming water temperature using one of the pre-mentioned methods and the Coefficient of Performance on the left is how many more times the energy efficiency is of the heat pump versus the tankless water heater. Visit our open source sustainable water heating page for more explanation of this image:
One Community is advancing the standard of living through a Highest Good society approach to living that is founded on fulfilled living, the study of meeting human needs, Community, and making a difference in the world:
This last week the core team finished a new win-win page showing all the areas One Community is currently working on and sharing how we define creating win-win collaborative partnerships:
We also updated our core value of Spirituality page that discusses One Community’s diversity focused and non-ideological approach to spirituality and how we use this value in our decision making process:

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together, along with a goal to be advancing the standard of living. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration, serving as an example for what is possible in terms of advancing the standard of living. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow, furthering the cause of advancing the standard of living.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: Advancing the standard of living, A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent, thus advancing the standard of living. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet. They will also transform the global lifestyle to a more enjoyable, fulfilling, healthy, and sustainable one.
The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing this can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive, further reinforcing the importance of advancing the standard of living.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this, thus fostering a sense of community and commitment to advancing the standard of living.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All, ultimately contributing to advancing the standard of living.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive-exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world, thereby advancing the standard of living. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All, further advancing the standard of living. We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity, ultimately contributing to advancing the standard of living. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning.
Every aspect of this model supports itself and contributes to its success, from the sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as the people who want and need them. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere, thereby contributing to advancing the standard of living.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still, ultimately leading to advancing the standard of living. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community is designing new approaches to persistent global challenges through Highest Good education that is for all ages, applicable in any environment, adaptable to individual needs, far exceeds traditional education standards, and more fun for both the teachers and the students:
This last week the core team finished the Spring-themed lesson plan mindmap you can see here. We also set up the basics of the webpage for this open source lesson plan:
One Community is designing new approaches to persistent global challenges through Highest Good food that is more diverse, more nutritious, locally grown and sustainable, and part of our open source botanical garden model to support and share bio-diversity:
This last week the core team finished adding the diversity details to the heirloom and organic Parsnips section of the large-scale gardening page. We added 13 different parsnips and featured the 11 you see here along with also adding planting guidelines, cultural considerations, and purchasing details for them all:
We also completed doing this for Parsley too, adding 16 varieties total and additional details for the 9 you see featured here:
One Community is designing new approaches to persistent global challenges through Highest Good housing that is artistic and beautiful, more affordable, more space efficient, lasts longer, DIY buildable, and constructed with healthy and sustainable materials:
This last week the core team added remote internet rollout specifics for off grid communities of 400+ people to our open source internet setup page. We also added a resources section. The page is now a complete and comprehensive open source guide that is the product of over 2 months of research and work. Here is a snapshot of the newest additions:
We also updated all the 3-D renders throughout the earthbag village sections of the website compliments of the work of Devin Porter (3D Graphics Design Specialist – DevinPorter.com) and Bupesh Seethala (Architectural Drafter, Designer, and 3-D Visualizer – BupeshSeethala.com). This is a huge website update that includes the new pictures you see here of the complete village, 3-dome clusters, 6-dome clusters, ADA compliant 3-dome clusters, and the Tropical Atrium:
In addition to this, we added an overview of the steps required for us to launch our complete crowdfunding campaign to our crowdfunding campaign webpage. These steps are a summary of over 80 hours of much more specific and behind-the-scenes planning and team organization as we continue to check off all the necessary action items to complete this campaign:
Da Ku (Mechanical Engineer) also finished the necessary engineering calculations for the earthbag village structures we’ll be building, which you can see here:
Engineering Calculations for the Earthbag Village Structures
What you are seeing is that the maximum compression stress (16 psi) is much lower than the strength, which showed these structures are strong when Da Ku ran the numbers using both the mechanical properties of low standard concrete (Young’s Modulus 2.2*10^10 Pa) and the experiments on earthbags from our partners at EarthbagBuilding.com (Young’s Modulus 2*10^7 Pa). We also looked at testing of polypropylene earthbags and found strengths of 43.06 psi, 57.84 psi, and 311 psi – plus other people’s results from the EarthbagBulding.com website that also confirmed strengths greater than 200 psi. While everyone should do their own calculations to confirm these numbers, we feel confident building with this approach.
One Community is designing new approaches to persistent global challenges through a Duplicable and Sustainable City Center that is LEED Platinum certified/Sustainable, can feed 200 people at a time, provide laundry for over 300 people, is beautiful, spacious, and saves resources, money, and space:
This last week the core team completed a significant update to our master energy schedule for the Duplicable City Center and complete earthbag village. Here’s a screen capture of all these details:
We also completed the first few scenes of the Duplicable City Center construction in 3D video that you can see here. This video is being created to showcase the results of over 2 years of design work and will be over 4 minutes long when complete:
Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) also finished a recreation of about 6 weeks of work lost due to a computer crash two weeks ago, and added the addition of windows to cupola and a 2nd entrance to the Social Dome/West elevation. This image is all the restored details plus the new additions. (see below)
One Community is designing new approaches to persistent global challenges through a Highest Good society approach to living that is founded on fulfilled living, the study of meeting human needs, Community, and making a difference in the world:
This last week the core team finished the complete redesign and update of all content on the core value of Contribution page that describes the One Community model for global contribution combined with creating individual freedom and a more fulfilled living experience:

Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this, thus fostering a sense of community and commitment to creating holistic transformational change.
We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All, ultimately contributing to creating holistic transformational change.
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world, thereby creating holistic transformational change.
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All, further creating holistic transformational change.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity, ultimately contributing to creating holistic transformational change.
The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere, thereby contributing to creating holistic transformational change.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still, ultimately leading to creating holistic transformational change.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together, along with a goal to be creating a better quality of life for all.
A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration, serving as an example for what is possible in terms of creating a better quality of life for all.
These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow, furthering the cause of creating a better quality of life for all
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: Creating a better quality of life for all, A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent, thus creating a better quality of life for all.
Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive, further reinforcing the importance of creating a better quality of life for all.

One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.). We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone, ultimately contributing to creating a better quality of life for all.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate, further promoting creating a better quality of life for all. By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own.
It is this approach we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes this is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All at the same time contributing to creating a better quality of life for all.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow, furthering the cause of world game-changing solutions.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: Creating World Game-Changing Solutions, A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent, thus world game-changing solutions.
Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive, further reinforcing the importance of creating world game-changing solutions.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this, thus fostering a sense of community and commitment to creating world game-changing solutions.
We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All, ultimately contributing to creating world game-changing solutions.
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world, thereby creating world game-changing solutions.
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All, further creating world game-changing solutions.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity, ultimately contributing to creating world game-changing solutions.
The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere, thereby contributing to world game-changing solutions.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still, ultimately leading to creating world game-changing solutions.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together, along with a goal to be creating a sustainable paradigm building.
A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration, serving as an example for what is possible in terms of creating a sustainable paradigm building. One Community is happy to welcome Hajjar Gibran to the Design Team:
Hajjar Gibran – Innovative Designer, Builder, Author and Spiritual Guide: Hajjar abandoned his career in engineering after the tragic death of his brother compelled him to follow his spiritual calling. After decades of inner exploration and personal transformation he created the Gibran Method for Spiritual Empowerment. In 2009, Simon and Schuster and a dozen other foreign publishers published his book The Return of The Prophet, the award winning sequel to The Prophet by his great uncle Kahlil Gibran. Hajjar then created The Gibran Center, a community health retreat in one of the poorest regions of rural Thailand. Adjacent to the center he started a volunteer run school to offer a better life to the local children who otherwise get caught in the sex industry. While creating The Gibran Center, Hajjar developed an efficient, low-cost, ecological way of building beautiful domes. A video and articles of a dome home he built with his brother-in-law have gone viral on the internet creating a global demand. In 2014 he created Global Dome Homes with a vision to support One Community and other sustainable development projects, as well as provide low cost housing for people in need the world over.
Here is an example of Hajjar’s work:

"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
