This page is the open source and free-shared Straw Bale Village time investment projections page that will evolve with the open source project-launch blueprinting of the One Community Straw Bale Village. When complete it will include detailed analysis of the time it took One Community to build the complete Straw Bale Village as a sustainable teacher/demonstration community, village, and city model. Once we’ve finished this tutorial and open sourced all the details for the 3-dome cluster as part of our crowdfunding campaign, we’ll do the same for the complete Earthbag Village (Pod 1) and Duplicable City Center®, and then this village and the other 5 villages.

This page is specifically for the time investment details of the Straw Bale Village. As part of our global transformation approach to Highest Good housing, our goal is to demonstrate the Straw Bale Village as a modularly expandable village model that could house anywhere from three to 300 families; starting small and expanding as needed to add more living spaces. For a completed example of the level of detail that we will be providing for all 7 village models, visit the Earthbag Village Build-time Investment page.

"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
