We are reinventing the future with One Community. What the One Community team envisions is a world of collaboration for The Highest Good of All built from a global cooperative of self-sustainable teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities.
These teacher/demonstration hubs will demonstrate people living lives that include more time to do the things they love to do and little or no bills because they are built on ultra-affordable and sustainable infrastructure.
The affordability of the lifestyle coupled with an internal culture of working together to create an enhanced and more fulfilling lifestyle is what we see these teacher/demonstration hubs purposed primarily to teach and share.
Our goal is to help lead and organize the initial creation of these through a working example providing an open source archive of tools, tutorial, and resources for duplication of all aspects including food infrastructure, energy infrastructure, housing infrastructure, an education model, asocial architecture and recreation model, a self-governance strategy, a functioning resource based economy, earth regenerative practices, for-profit and non-profit business infrastructure, and more. Combining these things in one place will create a place where we see people reinventing the future by wanting to visit and duplicate.
This is our weekly progress update (#20) covering our accomplishments for the week of July 8th, 2013.

In our opinion, reinventing the future starts with reinventing how we look at the entire living experience. The SEGO Center Duplicable City Hub is a significant part of this for One Community because it centralizes many of the functions people normally reserve complete rooms in their house for including dining, recreation, laundry, and more. Building the SEGO Center will save huge resources for One Community while providing a 5-star visiting and social gathering experience.
Our team, with the help of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) and Andrew Sadera (Architect Drafter and Designer) continues to progress on the SEGO Center 3D! Here is the first timelapse (SEGO 3D 1.0) video showing this structure and the 3D buildout:

One Community’s version of reinventing the future includes significantly more diversity and higher quality food. More specifically, our initial food infrastructure consists of 6 different aquapini and walipini structures and the Tropical Atrium that we are open source project-launch blueprinting. The Tropical Atrium will host herbs and tropical flowers and plants and there are three primary designs for the aquapinis and walipinis: Large-scale Production Aquapini, Aesthetic and Diversity Focused Zen Aquapini, and the Maximally-affordable Walipini Greenhouse Design.
Each of these 7 structures will provide a different internal environment and grow a different variety of food: Tropical Atrium Social Space and Tropical Food Production, Large-scale Production Tropical Aquapini, Zen Aquapini #1: Cloud Forest House, Zen Aquapini #2: Tropical Moist House, Walipini #1: Frost-free Arid Zone Desert House, Walipini #2: Borderline Subtropical House, and the Walipini #3: Tropical House. All 7 structures will be a part of our botanical garden model and will produce a diversity of delicious and nutritious food far beyond anything found in a typical grocery store.
This week we completed the final editing and posting of the first 20 plants (of 60) on the Tropical Atrium Planting and Harvesting Page. We’ve had 4 people working on this open-source component and these plants went through at least 5 complete overhaul revisions to get to where they are now with complete images, descriptions, placement details, planting guidelines, cultural considerations, and links to more information. Here’s an example of one of them:
Mentha x piperita is a fragrant plant that flowers purple and grows 4-6″ tall. It is used in containers, rock gardens, as a border, ground cover, and in mass plantings. Variegated Peppermint is drought-tolerant and resistant to deer, mice, and insects. It is used medicinally in treating indigestion, colds, and morning sickness. It is highly flavorful and used in teas, candy, desserts, and savory dishes.
This plant is not indicated on the planting map but will be used as a filler plant throughout the TA, both on the fingers and the floor of the North 180. Its exact location will be determined near the end of the planting schedule. Its low growing habit, ability to attract bees and butterflies, and strong fragrance are the primary reasons for its inclusion. We will receive this as a rooted cutting. Mint is an extremely easy plant to grow and is nearly indestructible.
To reduce its invasive potential, plant it into pots that can be submerged in the ground. After first watering the plant, break up the roots if it is rootbound. Place the plant in a ceramic pot of good organic soil mix, if possible, as this allows the plant to wick moisture from the surrounding soil. Using a plastic pot eliminates this potential and the plant within the pot will dry out sooner, but if holes are drilled in the plastic pot it will allow some seepage and wicking of moisture to the plant.
After transplanting, again water the plant well. Most gardeners, due to the vigorous growth of the mint root system will gladly share their mint plants with you as they are usually glad to give away what they don’t need. Simply break off small root clusters and transplant them into pots or directly into the ground.
Herbaceous cuttings are also easily rooted in water, then planted as described above, or if planted in an open garden, space plants 8-12″ apart, in rows 2′ apart. With all the mints the spacing is not critical, the further apart you plant the more time it takes to fill in; while closer plantings fill in sooner.
Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost in loose growing medium. Cover seeds with soil 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch vermiculite. Keep moist. The seed will germinate in 10-14 days. Transplant 12-18 inches apart in a sunny location.
Root division from an existing plant stock, suckers, or cuttings is another recommended method of propagation, best done in the fall. Cuttings will root easily in a moist potting medium, or even in water.
Mint is best when used fresh. Dried mint, when stored in airtight containers, will retain its flavor and scent. To harvest, gather bunches and hang them on drying racks or spread them on screens until completely dry.

Also the Tropical Atrium, this structure is designed to be adaptable to almost any environment and this week we finished the page detailing the planned adaptations and possible modifications for this structure. It will be maintained between 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit and 40-70% humidity and we have designed this structure with a combination of built-in heating, cooling, and humidity control methods as well as multiple methods for further modification if the build-in methods are not sufficient.
Our entire research and development process will be open source so others can be duplicated and further evolve everything we do with their own Tropical Atrium structures. Here is the new page with complete details:

Behind the scenes, our team has also completed a significant amount of additional open-source creation reinventing the future that we’ll be sharing in the next few weeks. This includes the initial drawing of the Walipini #1 & Walipini #2 planting maps and the complete rough-draft planting schedule for both. Now we are editing all of this information, cleaning up the formatting, formatting the pictures, turning the hand drawing of the maps into a combination drawing/photoshop creation, and preparing it all for posting to the website.
This process is engaged by 4 people on the team but the result is the level of detail you see above for peppermint. As we’re working on all the editing and next steps related to the work that has already been done, we are also now beginning work on the planting plans for Zen Aquapini #1: Cloud Forest House and Zen Aquapini #2: Tropical Moist House.
Reinventing the future has been demonstrated to One Community to be much more than just sustainable infrastructure, it also takes significant organization and administrative structure. This week we’ve spent a lot of time reinventing the future by updating a few of the pages related to what we’ve learned, who we are looking for as an organization, and how we have evolved this structure as an elite group of world-change-focused people. Here are the new pages:
This week we completed the update of our Communication page. Communication is a foundational value of One Community we’ve invested a huge amount of time evolving as a group. Through a consciousness for The Highest Good of All we are forwarding group dedication to clear communication skills, quality feedback, monthly 2-directional reviews, and honing our individual ability to maintain an outward focus of our energy and intent.
By doing so we strive to transcend our own (ego) boundaries in order to better help and support each other and the world. In this way, we’ve learned we can build trust and synergy internally so we can better perform our function as an open-source and world-change organization reinventing the future. Read our new page on communication for complete details about reinventing the future:
ONE COMMUNITY COMMUNICATION PAGE
This week we completed the update of our Who We Are and Who We Seek page. Who we are and who we seek are people with the mentality for The Highest Good of All who are ready to support, help create, share, and evolve everything on this site, and all the things we haven’t thought of yet, as we strive to do the absolute best and most intelligent and ethical process we can collectively come up with for reinventing the future and creating a better future for everyone. Visit our new page dedicated to discussing this:
As an elite team of professionals working together for dramatic world change, experience has taught us the key elements of reinventing the future that are foundational to the smooth and effective operation of our organization as a whole. We have also learned that if we are all accountable to each of the foundational elements, then traditional administration and management are not necessary. This has led to years of evolution in our management process and a hands-off administrative policy that is now detailed on our updated policies and procedures page:

One Community is creating a place to grow together and reinventing the future together. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously reinventing the future of respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow on reinventing the future.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent reinventing the future. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet and learn reinventing the future. They will also transform the global lifestyle to a more enjoyable, fulfilling, healthy, and sustainable one.
The specifics of how One Community is accomplishing this can be found on the One Community Solution Model to Create Solution-creating Models Page. Research supporting and showing the benefits of a model like this can be found on our Research and Resources Articles Archive.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of reinventing the future and global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of reinventing the future and the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.). We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people for reinventing the future while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate. By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own.
It is this approach we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes reinventing the future is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to understand reinventing the future and design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living and reinventing the future that addresses the complete human experience. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world.
As we address and open source share these areas we will establish a living example of the first teacher/demonstration village purposed to teach others. To maximally facilitate duplication, One Community will provide seven duplicable examples and function indefinitely as a place people can visit and a non-profit and open source think tank to continue reinventing the future and share solutions in all of the above areas, reinventing the future, and more. We will also provide hands-on experience and training on reinventing the future. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model of reinventing the future. This leads to the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for sustainability that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help in reinventing the future. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement in the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, but we also address reinventing the future and the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established on reinventing the future too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for the distribution of monies to help others establish this model of reinventing the future.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate reinventing the future and an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will teach them reinventing the future and will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it makes reinventing the future possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate in reinventing the future by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning, work crews, and tourism will be the foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine for reinventing the future and inspiring people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All. We are doing this to understand reinventing the future and thus, create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as reinventing the future and the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning.
Every aspect of this model supports itself and contributes to its success, from the sustainable food, energy, and homes, to the social architecture, One Community Education Program, and open source sharing model itself. Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as the people who want and need them. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about reinventing the future and what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project launching blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy for reinventing the future will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure is accomplished through reinventing the future by simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place where people learn reinventing the future and can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community is creating the open source infrastructure for sustainable communities building for the future of us all. Our path to making this mainstream accessible and implementable is to lead a growing collaboration of teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities working together for The Highest Good of All.
Everything we do is meant to be implementable as either individual components or as complete sustainable civilization models including food, energy, housing, recreation, education, earth regenerative practices, and more.
We are also designing the software for global coordination and objective results tracking, organization of labor and materials, and data gathering for the on-going improvement of it all. This is our weekly progress update (#19) covering our accomplishments for the week of July 1st, 2013.

We believe that sustainable communities building for the future of us all can make an important contribution to biodiversity by adopting a botanical garden model. They conserve biodiversity and foster broader access to that biodiversity, are relatively simple to establish and maintain, assist in strengthening the “food web”, and can be economically beneficial for individuals and communities. In support of these things we are incorporating the infrastructure for a botanical garden into One Community and open source project-launch blueprinting the process to make it as easy to duplicate as possible. The following sections are part of the new open source botanical garden page:
One Community’s initial food infrastructure consists of 6 different aquapini and walipini structures that we are open source project-launch blueprinting. There are three primary designs: Large-scale Production Aquapini, Aesthetic and Diversity Focused Zen Aquapini, and the Maximally-affordable Walipini Greenhouse Design. Each of the 6 structures will provide a different internal environment and grow a different variety of food. The structures will be the Large-scale Production Tropical Aquapini, Zen Aquapini #1: Cloud Forest House, Zen Aquapini #2: Tropical Moist House, Walipini #1: Frost-free Arid Zone Desert House, Walipini #2: Borderline Subtropical House, and the Walipini #3: Tropical House.
These 6 structures will be a part of our botanical garden model and will produce a diversity of delicious and nutritious food far beyond anything found in a typical grocery store.
This week we updated and added extensive details to the following pages:
Our team, with the help of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) and Andrew Sadera (Architect Drafter and Designer) continues to progress on the SEGO Center 3D towards sustainable communities building for the future of us all! We’re now adding internal walls and we hope to have a the first of a series of a time-lapse videos to share as part of next week’s updates. Here’s the most recent exports:
The team is also now working on creating sustainable communities building for the future of us all and the internal planting details for the SEGO Center with the help of Meg West (Landscape Architect, Permaculturalist, and founder of Meg West Design). Here’s a look at what this involves and the questions we are asking each other and points we are discussing:

Partner Phil Charlton and Western States Design have also completed the details for the SEGO Center laundry facility that will service over 300 people. Now we are working with Jennifer Engelmeier (Eco-pool and Spa Specialist and founder of www.LoveYourPool.com) to explore ozone integration with these washers as an additional eco-friendly step. Details on this and the specifics of why we chose these exact washers are coming soon.
The A.C.E. (Accountability ” Celebration ” Expansion) App is an open source and free-shared web-based application One Community has developed with the help of Justen Palmer (Systems Engineer and Programmer and lead developer for Tiny Factory) for time tracking and objective data collection. We use it daily to log and organize each of our team’s contribution through on-going records covering all aspects of the growth and evolution of our project as an open source project-launch blueprinting and research and development organization. This week we met with Justen and outlined the next steps for adding the following functionality to this amazing tool:

We also had an article originally published on ChallengedSpecies.net discussing implementation of a resource based economy, something One Community is committed to open source and free-sharing. Our interpretation of a resource based economy is focused on sharing, collaboration, and cooperation and we believe this is for The Highest Good of All. We are adding consensus decision making to this foundation of the sustainable communities building for the future of us all and we feel that these two elements combined will provide significant personal, economic, and organizational benefits that future self-sufficient and self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities will want to implement also.
Participation in the resource based economy at One Community will be voluntary. Here are the two pages we updated this week related to a resource based economy:

We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs for sustainable communities building for the future of us all. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive-exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, move onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Phase III: Inviting the World to Participate
Everything we are open source project-launch blueprinting is designed to invite the world to participate by duplicating it as either individual components or complete teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that will be able to be built almost anywhere in the world. Additionally, people can join One Community as members, consultants and/or partners, or use the suggestions links on our open source project-launch blueprinting hubs to help with the design, implementation, and evolution process. Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options for sustainable communities building for the future of us all.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All. We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating sustainable communities building for the future of us all. Everything One Community does is open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about creating sustainable communities building for the future of us all and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating sustainable communities building for the future of us all and a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

Future sustainable cities need to start somewhere. One Community is that starting point and we are designing seven sustainable city models including do-it-yourself infrastructure for food, housing, energy, and water catchment as well as built-in for-profit and non-profit business infrastructure, an education program for all ages, fulfilled living architecture, and more. These villages will be affordable, beautiful, functional, and completely open-source project-launch blueprinted and free-shared so they can be easily duplicated and further evolved around the world. The work to make all of this possible is a global collaborative, immense, and happening right now. This is our weekly progress update (#18) covering our accomplishments for the week of June 24th, 2013.

Here are the details of everything discussed in the video blog above.
We believe future sustainable cities will benefit from a duplicable city center that provides recreation space, dining, and laundry for 100’s of people. In our village models, the SEGO Center City Hub replaces the need for these spaces in individual homes and saves significant resources while providing a beautiful and spacious place with meditation center, natural pool, hot tub, library, and more for all residents to enjoy.
This week Meg West (Landscape Architect, Permaculturalist, and founder of Meg West Design) and Jennifer Engelmeier (Eco-pool and Spa Specialist and founder of www.LoveYourPool.com) completed the natural pool and hot tub layout for this structure in future sustainable cities.
We’ve also made progress on the SEGO Center 3D. Unfortunately, we had to start over on these domes because our initial efforts were to create a quick mock-up and we now realize that the complexity of this structure necessitates ONE very detailed and accurate 3D rendering. Here are the three domes with the 4 rosters/floor plans layered in and appropriately positioned with the new level of precision and detail we will need for our final blueprints in future sustainable cities.
We believe future sustainable cities will have the ability to be 100% food self-sufficient and we are building the infrastructure to make this possible while providing a diversity of amazing food that most people don’t have access to in even the largest and most diverse metropolitan areas. This week we finished the planting plan for Walipini 3 and added another 10 plants to the Large-scale Food Production Aquapini Planting and Harvesting Details section of the open source food production and harvesting page.
Here is the Walipini 3 map in one of the future sustainable cities:
We additionally completed the Attracting Pollinators section for the complete phase I food infrastructure for future sustainable cities of One Community. You can visit that newly completed section by clicking here: Attracting Pollinators
One Community’s idea of education that is sustainable and for The Highest Good of All is embodied by our open-source Education for Life Program. This program is open source and free-shared, being designed to address all ages, and a foundational aspect of our global collaboration approach to creating future sustainable cities that work for everyone. This week we finished applying the research we’ve completed on the alternative teaching methods of Maria Montessori, Waldorf, Carl Orff Schulwerk, Reggio Emilia Approach, Howard Gardner’s 8 Multiple-Intelligences, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Study Technology to our Teaching Strategies for Life, Learning Tools and Toys for Life, and Ultimate Classroom pages.
This program is purposed to grow and evolve into what we feel will be the most comprehensive, effective, and diversely applicable free-education program in future sustainable cities and open source and free-shared project-launch usable education blueprint in the world.
One Community is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization practicing the for The Highest Good of All philosophy as its foundation for all decisions in future sustainable cities. We design and open source free-share comprehensive sustainability components so people have access to these resources to build future sustainable cities anywhere in the world. To facilitate transformational global change we are putting together all the sustainable elements necessary to build seven comprehensive sustainability village models that will provide what we feel most people will consider a more fulfilled way of living.
The components of these models will be able to be duplicated modularly or as complete and self-propagating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities. These communities, villages, and future sustainable cities will not only be model solutions, but solution-creating models that provide even more research, blueprints, and necessary support for successively easier and more affordable and creative duplication everywhere.
This week we also finished final edits on our three investor overview pages in preparation for a new push for us to achieve the funding we need to take our project to the next level. Here are the three new pages, please share them:

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together, future sustainable cities. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example of what is possible.
Throughout our design process, we are open-sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices, and more. We are creating future sustainable cities with these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges through A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating future sustainable cities within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating future sustainable cities and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating these future sustainable cities.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.). We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate in these future sustainable cities.
While we understand that not everyone believes future sustainable cities are even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those who do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
One Community is open source sharing an evolution of sustainable living that addresses the complete human experience. We are doing this because we see the solutions for global food, housing, energy, education, social inequality, ethical business practices, earth regenerative practices, and a desire for a more fulfilling living experience as inseparably interconnected. As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world in future sustainable cities.
As we address and open source share these areas we will establish a living example of the first teacher/demonstration village purposed to teach others. To maximally facilitate duplication, One Community will provide seven duplicable examples and function indefinitely as a place people can visit and a non-profit and open source think tank continuing to further evolve and share solutions in all of the above areas and more. We will also provide hands-on experience and training. Most importantly, growing upon our sustainable foundation, we will endlessly make this comprehensive solution even more widely known and globally accessible, understandable and diversely duplicable, and inspiring and desirable as a model worth duplicating.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model.
This is also part of this model to help the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement in future sustainable cities and industries, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, but we also address the underlying roadblocks to future sustainable cities by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate in future sustainable cities. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for the distribution of monies to help others establish this model of future sustainable cities.
One Community is building solution-creating models, future sustainable cities designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process globally:

One Community is purposed to provide people with a clear and positive path for how to make a change in the world while helping themselves. The path to individual life transformation and enrichment that we see as most compelling is a demonstration of more fulfilled living, a culture of personal growth, and contribution to global sustainability. Our method for spreading and sharing these ideas is the creation of open source and free-shared plans for sustainable and self-sufficient teacher/demonstration villages that we will be building and then helping other to build all around the world.

Here are the details of our progress for the last week towards how to make a change in the world and everything discussed in the above video…
The earthbag architecture village (Pod 1) is the first of seven different sustainable village models, we will be building a path for those interested in how to make a change in the world through sustainable living. The earthbag village was chosen as the first village to be built because we believe it will be the most affordable and easy to duplicate. This week we redesigned and updated the open source portal for this first village model adding the following clarifying sections for how to make a change in the world:
This week we completed two sections on how to make a change in the world using the open source and free-shared earthbag home and village construction tools and equipment needs page. The goal of this page is to provide precise tool and equipment needs for every component of the earthbag village:
With the help of our friend of the project Devin Porter, we have also continued to move forward on the 3D renderings for the complete earthbag architecture village. Here are the most recent screenshots and updates from this 3D progress on how to make a change in the world:
One Community’s food infrastructure is another For The Highest Good of All area we consider as an opportunity for those interested in how to make a change in the world. Just as we will be showcasing a diversity of sustainable housing modes and alternative energy infrastructure, so too will we showcase a diversity of food production methodologies ranging from earth-regenerative permaculture farming to greenhouses to aquaponics farms. Here’s this weeks progress in this area.
Ziggy Tolnay (Database Systems Designer and Founder of The RBE10K Project) continues to progress on the aquapini 3D designs now with the additional help of our partner Avery Ellis (Aquaponics Specialist and owner/operator of Integrated Aquaponics) double checking the plumbing and filtration. Here are the most recent 3D export photos of how to make a change in the world:
We’ve also completed the research, formatting, and refinement of the next 10 trees and plants for the large-scale production aquapini structure and added them to the Large-scale Food Production Aquapini Planting and Harvesting Details. The goal is to demonstrate how to make a change in the world with a combination of quality, volume, and food diversity that significantly exceeds what most people have available to them at the grocery store. Here’s one of the new examples of this house that demonstrates how to make a change in the world using this:
Miracle fruit is an evergreen shrub in the Sapotaceae native to West Africa, where it grows in the understory. Forming an oval to pyramidal-shaped bush or small tree, this tropical plant grows very slowly to a height of 4-6 feet in a container and 10-15 feet in its natural habitat. Synsepalum dulcificum has deep green, elongated leaves, small brown flowers, and tiny red fruits.
The fruit is a ½ inch long red berry, that is mostly seed. The “miracle” is that the scant flesh contains a unique glycoprotein called miraculin. This protein binds to the taste receptors so that sour is perceived as sweet. A lemon eaten after a miracle berry tastes like the sweetest lemonade. This effect lasts for about thirty minutes or until the protein is washed away by saliva or drinking liquids.
A group of Synsepalums will be planted at the bottom of the slope planting as a part of the ‘how to make a change in the world’ initiative, where they will benefit from the moisture draining from upslope. We will receive these as small seedling plants.
We consider the SEGO Center City Hub as foundational for our open source blueprint for creating world change because:
This week, with the help of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services) we redesigned the laundry area to make space for the number of laundry units we will need there. Here is the most recent CAD export showing this redesign towards how to make a change in the world:

Each piece can be accessed, evolved, and even re-birthed as something completely new. It can be duplicated by itself or with other modules, with applications as diverse as the people who want and need them. The constantly expanding total model will additionally be able to be used in its entirety as the open source project-launch blueprint for a variety of duplicate teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities capable of being built virtually anywhere.
The most profound part is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about how to make a change in the world and what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still.
This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people learn how to make a change in the world and can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models.

One Community believes a sustainable future is possible if enough people if enough people want it. For that to happen we feel a working model with widespread appeal must be created. It should be affordable, applicable across a diversity of cultures, globally accessible, created so that people with average knowledge and little or no experience can duplicate it, and it must have a marketing engine capable of exposing enough people to build the necessary momentum for it to continue on its own. This is what One Community is open source project-launch blueprinting and here is our weekly progress update (#16) covering our accomplishments for the week of June 10th, 2013.

Here are the details of our progress for the last week and everything discussed in the above video…
The aquapini designs towards a sustainable future are now moving forward again in 3D thanks to the help of one of our newest partners, Ziggy Tolnay (Database Systems Designer and Founder of The RBE10K Project)! Once we’ve got everything we are capable of creating into 3D we will then be shifting these back first to our partner Avery Ellis (Aquaponics Specialist and owner/operator of Integrated Aquaponics) to double check the plumbing and filtration and then to our partner Charles McLean (Architecture & Urban Agriculture Designer, Professor, and owner of OM Greengroup) to put it into Revit so we can run real-to-life simulations. Here’s the first series of 3D export photos:
In addition to the 3D progress on the large-scale production aquapini, we’ve also completed the research, formatting, and refinement of the first 7 trees of the Large-scale Food Production Aquapini Planting and Harvesting Details. Here’s an example of just one of them:
The casimiroa or white sapote is a tree in the citrus family native to Mexico. The tree is normally 15-30 feet tall, but can be kept smaller by pruning. They are highly productive, with some varieties capable of bearing fruit nearly year-round. Trees prefer full sun and infrequent but deep watering. Since it is in the citrus family, the blossoms are attractive to bees; the flowers produce pollen but little nectar.
The apple-sized fruit have the sweetness of a pear and the texture of an avocado. The paper thin skin can be eaten, but sometimes has a bitter resinous taste. The skin tends to “slip” when ripe, and can be easily removed. There are 1 to 5 seeds near the center of the fruit. Freezing the peeled, seeded fruit to make a dairy-free “ice cream” is a good way to deal with the abundant crops and create a sustainable future.
The Casimiroa tree will be placed against the north wall of the Aquapini to avoid casting shade on other parts of the house. We will receive this plant as a small grafted tree.
FOR A COMPLETE LISTING VISIT: THE AQAUPINI AND WALIPINI PLANTING & HARVEST PAGE
The Tropical Atrium will create and demonstrate an aesthetically pleasing and functional multi-purpose facility that will serve as a tropical fruit production facility combined with multi-purpose recreational use that will easily invite members of the community/village/city to want to spend time in this space. Here are this week’s 3D exports compliments of a friend of the project Devin Porter:
In addition to the 3D Tropical Atrium work, this last week we also completed the cost analysis details for everything that will be planted in this structure for a sustainable future and the details of our pollinator attraction strategy:
TA PLANTING COST ANALYSIS | TA POLLINATOR ATTRACTION STRATEGY
The earthbag village 3D continues to progress thanks to the help of John Bassist. Here is the open facebook group specifically for 3D work and collaboration on One Community’s models and others. You can see our on-going work there. Related to the 3D progress, here is a mockup of the entire village:
We’ve also now gotten the first 9 domes specifically in place and with the correct number of windows facing in the correct direction. Here is an image of the 2D drawing (above) and the 3D creation based upon it:
The next step towards a sustainable future is adding in the surrounding earth so people can see the surrounding slope.
We have also completed the details of the earthbag construction time investment projections and complete tool and equipment needs and cost analysis. Here are those two pages:
EARTHBAG VILLAGE BUILD-TIME | EARTHBAG VILLAGE COST ANALYSIS
Open source and free-shared sustainable development policies are another area that One Community is open source project-launch blueprinting in support of the Highest Good of All and a sustainable future for all. For those interested in joining us in our goal to build and evolve open source and free-sharing self-sufficient teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities all over the world, we just completed the following 3 portals outlining the three business models we are developing and open source sharing:
We’ve completed the infrastructure and first phase tutorial for our global collaboration database of others building similar structures and their experiences, adaptations, etc. This page will evolve to include:
We’re also super excited to be able to announce our most recent partnership with Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now! Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now is a group working on bridging to a RBE (Resource Based Economy) from the current system. Sharing resource based economy values, a similar strategy for global transformation, and the belief that a sustainable future that benefits all people is possible, One Community and Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now communicate and share information and resources weekly (and sometimes daily) in our progress toward this goal for a sustainable future.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together. We are creating a space with a sustainable future that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We do this by harmoniously respecting each other, nature, and the rest of our one shared planet.
Our goal is to demonstrate what we feel is the most sustainable, healthy, and fun environment we can create. A place based on compassion, kindness, and collaboration. This replicable community will serve as an example for what is possible.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices, and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub. It will function as an experiential-learning model that facilitates mass participation to address humanity’s most pressing challenges and a sustainable future through: A replicable model for expansion, building seven self-sufficient village/city prototypes, becoming the world leader in open-source sustainability solutions, and evolving and expanding ALL aspects of sustainable living.
The One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable future for the planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation and a sustainable future, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more toward a sustainable future. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience of a sustainable future with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
One Community’s four-phase strategy for the creation of solution models that create solution creating models uses open source blueprints for duplication that simultaneously address all aspects of the human experience (food, energy, housing, education, social inequality and injustice, fulfilled living, etc.) towards a sustainable future. We see these areas as interdependent and requiring a comprehensive solution if humanity is to move ecologically, socially, economically, and permanently towards a truly sustainable future for everyone.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate.
While we understand that not everyone believes this is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model. This leads to a sustainable future and the directing of financial resources and resourceful people where we believe they are needed most: the establishment of additional sustainable communities around the world. We also feel this duplication will specifically happen quickly internationally due to the affordability of overseas land, less restrictive building environments, and the spirit of adventure in many people who really desire to make a difference for those who need it most.
To meet the increasing demand for a sustainable future that we are contributing to, we are coordinating with manufacturers, education institutions, individuals, and vendors. This is also part of this model to help the world and create a sustainable future. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable future by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for distribution of monies to help others establish this model for a sustainable future.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process of creating a sustainable future globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate a sustainable future and an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs.
Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a sustainable future and a Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see a sustainable future transitioning.

One Community is happy to welcome Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now as our most recent partner! Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now is a group working on bridging to a RBE (Resource Based Economy) from the current system. In the Hybrid Communities and Towns no money will be used between working members, money is only used to buy and pay for absolutely needed items from/in the current money system. There is co-op ownership of businesses and residential properties for members to work and live in. The plan is that each member works just 20 hours a week in the co-op businesses and in return receives free rent, free utilities, free food, free local transportation, and other free benefits needed to live happily. The purpose of this model is to show others a better way of life now to gain the necessary support of enough people to transition the whole world to RBE. Sharing resource based economy values, a similar strategy for global transformation, and the belief that a completely sustainable planet that benefits all people is possible, One Community and Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now communicate and share information and resources weekly (and sometimes daily) in our progress toward this goal.
Thank you Build Hybrid Communities and Towns Now and Michael Knight for all you do!

We are bringing together the stewards of the earth to create a path to earth stewardship for anyone who wants it. Our strategy to accomplishing this is by operating as a for The Highest Good of All 501(c)3 non-profit organization and open source free-sharing everything needed so people interested in participating in stewardship and transformational global change can do so anywhere in the world. We are doing this in the form of seven comprehensive sustainability village models that provide what we feel most people will consider to be a more fulfilled way of living.
The components of these models will be able to be duplicated modularly or as complete and self-propagating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities that are not only model solutions, but solution-creating models that provide even more research, blueprints, and necessary support for successively easier and more affordable and creative duplication everywhere. This is our weekly progress update (#15) covering our accomplishments for the week of June 3, 2013.

Here are the details of everything discussed in the video above…
Our stewards of the earth have completed the large-scale food production aquapini planting map! This map is for our open source aquapini and walipini planting and harvesting details page that is being built out with complete details of every plant that will be placed in the location of one of the numbers below. Coming this next week is the open source tutorial for gathering, formatting, and sharing each plant and tree detail.
In addition to the aquapini planting progress, our stewards of the earth also continue to work on the Tropical Atrium planting and harvesting page. We are very close to finalizing the first 20 plants on that page in the format we will be using for all plants and trees in our Highest Good food sharing and open source project-launch blueprinting process. Here are the overview pages for both the aquapinis and the Tropical Atrium:
AQUAPINI & WALIPINI OPEN SOURCE HUB | TROPICAL ATRIUM OPEN SOURCE HUB
The earthbag village 3D continues to progress thanks to the help of our stewards of the earth, John Bassist and Johnnie Torres, and we now have our first 3-dome cluster complete with a patio, stairs, benches, etc. These domes are designed with 10 windows so we can delete all them down to two (currently planning one North and one South-facing for passive heating and cooling) as we position them in the correct place for the entire village. To facilitate moving the 3D work of this village and all other aspects forward even faster John also created an open facebook group specifically for 3D work and collaboration on One Community’s models and others. You can see our on-going work there:

One Community is purposed to design, build, and provide everything necessary to duplicate complete open source and free-shared self-sufficient nteacher/demonstration community, village, and city models. The earthbag village is the first one we will be building and this last week we also finished the final layout update necessary so we can take the above 3D work and apply it to the entire village. Here’s that update (forgot to mention this in the video blog) thanks to the amazing work of one of our many stewards of the earth, Doug Stenhouse (Architect and Water Color Artist):
Our water catchment open source portal is now updated with our complete water catchment projections for the Phase I build including:
Here’s an example of what is possible in less than 4 YEARS. Visit the updated page for a video and complete details.
We’ve finished 11 of 12 and only have one page remaining for the complete Curriculum for Life component of the open-source and free-shared Education for Life program! This last week our stewards of the earth finished adding images to the Community, Family, and Social Skills curriculum page as well as completing (content and images) the Freedom and Celebrating Different Perspectives curriculum page. We also built out the foundations of 6 more pages of the Evaluation and Evolution component. Here are the links:
COMMUNITY CURRICULUM | FREEDOM CURRICULUM | EVOLUTION & EVALUATION
Thanks to the ongoing work of Karl Harris (Architect Drafter, Designer, and founder of Harris Design & Technology Services), the SEGO Center City Hub 3D continues to progress too. Here are the most recent screenshots from Karl:
Also, here are some screenshots of the progress of Andrew Sadera (Architect Drafter and Designer) working on the cupola roof design:
Huge gratitude and thanks also go out to Meg West (Landscape Architect, Permaculturalist, and founder of Meg West Design) and Jennifer Engelmeier (Eco-pool and Spa Specialist and founder of www.LoveYourPool.com) for their on-going work, introducing One Community to Phil Charlton and Western States Design who are our newest partners helping us with our eco-laundry details, and for a fun and productive lunch last week!

This is super exciting because it A) took a ton of time and B) because what would help One Community the most right now would be funding to secure the property, which will help the evolution of sustainability progress. You can visit our LOCATION ESSENTIALS PROPERTY PAGE to read about all the work we’ve already invested in this location and the criteria used during the 2-year selection process. We feel securing this property is currently the #1 largest step we could take because it will:
The three updated investor pages are regarding property details, our most comprehensive overview of One Community, and funding options. Take a look at the pages and please SHARE THEM if you’d like to help us! “Likes” and “Shares” on these pages specifically are super helpful because they spread the word AND demonstrate that people are interested and supportive of what we are creation.

EVOLUTION OF SUSTAINABILITY – FOOD PROGRESS
Here’s our first generation details map of exactly what will be planted in the large-scale food production aquapini. Every number has a corresponding plant or tree and those details are coming soon too. Next step along with building out the plant details on the planting and harvesting details page, is to combine this map with the building layout plans and clean it up as a usable and duplicable blueprint for others to follow. As a means of facilitating the evolution of sustainability, we will also:
We’ve also continued to make progress on the earthbag construction open source village with the help and volunteer work of John Bassist (organizer of this e-group hub wiki as well as this Needs/Instincts Centered Economics (NICE) Facebook page).
These pictures show the domes with 10 windows to help us achieve the final product of a 75 dome village with each dome having one window facing North (passive lighting in the summer without excessive heat) and one facing South (passive heating in the winter), creatively facilitating the evolution of sustainability. Once we’ve got this one dome exactly the way we want it, we will duplicate the model 75 times for the whole village, add in the patios and stairs, add in the landscaping, etc. and then delete 8 of the windows off each dome to leave only one facing North and one facing South.
Additional earthbag village drawings were also completed this last week by Doug Stenhouse (Architect and Water Color Artist). These drawing reflect addition of the buttress walls and the elevation changes we had to make due to the plumbing necessary for water collection.
This last week we also completed the Community, Family, and Social Skills curriculum page! This is our 3rd to last page of the Curriculum for Life component of the open source and free-shared Education for Life program.

One Community is creating a place to grow together and change the world together with the goal to achieve evolution of sustainability. We are creating a space that helps each other live in integrity with each other and the planet as we strive to be the greatest versions of ourselves while.
Throughout our design process we are open sourcing and free-sharing everything needed for construction and replication which will aid in evolution of sustainability. This includes what we call “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economics design, social architecture, fulfilled living, stewardship practices and more. We are creating these resources for implementation as individual components or complete developments called teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will help launch additional hubs as awareness and knowledge grow.
One Community will be the first teacher/demonstration hub.
As a strategy that will aid in evolution of sustainability the One Community self-replicating model is capable of creating a sustainable planet within 30 years. We will achieve this by establishing successful teacher/demonstration hubs on every continent. Villages include designs appropriate for each of the five main types of climates. They also include options for even the most challenged economies. These hubs will collaborate with one another, share ideas, resources, and work together as a network to heal the planet.
Even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goal of global transformation, a self-replicating teacher/demonstration model like this will take a relatively short period of time to positively affect millions while inspiring millions more. For One Community residents (the Pioneer Team), the idea of creating and sharing the social and recreational experience with visitors is also fun, exciting, fulfilling, and an additional reason why we are creating this.
Our open source model and blueprints engage and inspire people while simultaneously making sustainable living more affordable and easy to replicate. By free-sharing the step-by-step plans people need for duplication, inviting people to participate, and demonstrating sustainable teacher/demonstration hubs as a more desirable way of living, the model will predictably expand on its own which will then eventually help in the evolution of sustainability.
It is this approach we see uniting the world and leading to a new Golden Age for humanity. While we understand that not everyone believes this is even possible, we are nonetheless bringing together all those that do see this as possible as the non-profit think tank of forward-thinking individuals willing to design, build, and open source project-launch blueprint and free-share it for The Highest Good of All.
As a comprehensive solution, we are addressing all these areas simultaneously and open source free-sharing everything needed for individual duplication and/or duplication as complete self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities to be built around the world with the goal of attaining evolution of sustainability.
The more people that are inspired and desiring for themselves what it is that One Community creates, the more demand there will be for spreading the One Community model and the increase in demand will help in the growth of evolution of sustainability.
This is also part of this model to help the world. Its purpose is to facilitate more engagement of the sustainability industry, produce the absolute best possible consumer value, and the most convenient delivery of goods and methodologies for building sustainable living communities and sustainable living components.
This means we not only provide education and increase needed sustainability resources, we also address the underlying roadblocks to a sustainable planet by decreasing the cost and simultaneously increasing the demand and generating financial support for global sustainability, philanthropy, and humanitarian movements and organizations and doing this will also help in the evolution of sustainability.
As demand increases, so too will the ways to participate. Right now people are participating as consultants or partners donating time to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and others are more involved as Pioneers of the core team that will be moving to the property. We also have options for people to just follow our progress or participate through internet contribution.
Once the supportive physical infrastructure is about 30% developed, One Community will be ready to additionally expand what we offer to include scholarships, free weekend learning groups, core team members choosing to travel abroad to help others get established too, handling the marketing for all similar models operating for The Highest Good of All, and hosting classes and other sponsored events to promote and demonstrate additional methodologies, all these will come together to expedite the evolution of sustainability.
We also imagine the high likelihood that our organization will become a foundation that can be trusted as the donation point for distribution of monies to help others to establish this model also.
One Community is building solution-creating models designed to create additional solution-creating models to specifically facilitate exponential and sustainable global teacher/demonstration village growth. The following four phases of the strategy we are applying are designed to support each other and accelerate the process of evolution of sustainability globally:
Phase I: Demonstrating a Better Way
We are designing One Community to demonstrate an experience of living that we believe most people will consider to be better because it will be more enjoyable and fulfilling. We also think most people will consider it better because it is made possible specifically through a foundation of sustainable sustainability and a philosophy that is for The Highest Good of All.
Phase II: Open Source Project-Launch Blueprinting
Everything we do we are open source project-launch blueprinting and free-sharing to make it as easy and affordable as possible to duplicate, adapt, and evolve in the manner that suits each individual and/or group’s needs. Free-sharing information like this is our aggressive-exposure engine and an aspect of One Community that will accelerate indefinitely as we continue to build our team, that will support in the evolution of sustainability by moving onto the property, and continuously build and evolve everything that is One Community.
Scholarships, weekend learning and work crews, and tourism will be foundations of One Community once we have sufficient infrastructure in place to support these options.
Phase IV: Universal Appeal and Global Expansion
As One Community continues evolving and establishing ourselves, everything we create and promote will serve as the engine to inspire people to align with the concept of open source and sustainable living for The Highest Good of All. We are doing this to create mainstream appeal and our path to achieving this appeal is demonstrating a happier, more affordable, and ecologically friendly model of living that can be built anywhere in the world which will help in the evolution of sustainability widely.
Open source project-launch blueprinting it all is how we believe the model will spread and, possibly most importantly, that it will predictably spread even faster in the areas where it is needed most because building restrictions, the cost of land, and materials costs are in most cases lower in these areas.
We are creating everything One Community does as open source and free-shared blueprints because we see this as the path to a new Golden Age of creativity, innovation, cooperation, and collaboration for all of humanity. Our model is a solution model that creates additional solution creating models enabling people to live and collaborate globally for The Highest Good of All. The easier we make everything we do, the faster we see the world transitioning in the direction of evolution of sustainability.
The most profound part of the evolution of sustainability is: the more we open source share, the more we help move everyone forward, the more people know about what we are doing and can participate, and the more successful and capable we are of project-launch blueprinting and sharing even more still. This is all supported and made possible because:
One Community’s open source strategy will evolve 5 primary types of open source content purposed to reach and service as broad an audience as possible. This includes the following mediums of sharing that are being developed to function as standalone resources or in combination with each other:
Maximum exposure which will help in ensuring that the evolution of sustainability is accomplished through simultaneous implementation of the following strategies:
One Community sees the issues of the world as interdependent and interconnected. To address them simultaneously, we are open-source blueprinting a more advanced standard of living by designing holistic, environmentally-regenerative, self-sustaining, adaptable solutions for all areas of sustainability. We will model these within a comprehensive “village/city” which will be built in the southwestern U.S. This teacher/demonstration hub will be a place people can experience a new way of living and then replicate it with our open source blueprints: creating a model solution that creates additional solution-creating models which will help in the evolution of sustainability.
"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
