One Community welcomes Dirgh Patel to the Engineering Team as our newest Volunteer/Consultant!
Dirgh holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and brings over two years of industry experience. He has leveraged CAD and FEA tools—including SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Abaqus—to optimize pump and machinery designs, enhancing both performance and reliability. Early in his career, he refined pump thrust simulations and conducted worst-case risk assessments. Later, he streamlined CNC automation processes and led quality reporting initiatives. Dirgh also collaborated on a flue gas heat recovery system project that utilized the lithium-bromide (Li–Br) cycle to achieve a 100-ton refrigeration effect and contributed to managing associated water treatment operations. His expertise spans mechanical design, finite element analysis, project coordination, and the application of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and quality. As a member of the One Community team, Dirgh worked on stress-strain and thermal simulations for eight different scenarios and technologies related to the climate battery components of the Highest Good Food system. His analysis focused on how material properties, fan operation, and ambient temperature affect thermal performance. Through this work, he identified key areas to improve heat distribution and overall energy efficiency in the system.
