Love is the essence of “Highest Good” living and one of the 6 primary human needs. Let’s create a loving existence to transform the world. We can do this by demonstrating life as a loving experience, sharing this fully with others, and loving the experience of life itself. As one of One Community’s foundational values, we apply “Love and Compassion” in support of our overarching value of living and creating for “The Highest Good of All.” We extend this philosophy and value to include all life and living systems on our shared planet.
This page discusses this and more within the following sections:

For One Community, Love and Compassion is a foundational value. It is about caring for each other and wanting to do everything we can to support the health and happiness of all people and life on our planet. We believe that love is a choice that starts with how we love and connect internally (self-love). Once we establish self-love, this love overflows outward, acting as a guiding compass for how we make decisions and choose meaningful interpersonal interactions (lovingly versus fearfully).
In decision making at One Community, the core value of “Love and Compassion” is applied by keeping in mind these three key questions:
* To ensure we are always aligned with our Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values, One Community uses the values as defined by our organization as the compass for all our decision making. We then factor in the diversity of individual perspectives and experiences. We highly recommend this approach because it saves us hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of collaborative decision making time. If you are considering our model as a template for your own creation, we especially recommend you apply this approach and use, adapt, or completely change the values we’ve presented so you too can create a clear guidance system that aligns with your own organizational/group/individual needs.
As a world-change organization, we acknowledge humanity’s potential for Highest Good of All living. We are supporting this potential by using Love and Compassion as a part of our organizational guidance system as we create and share a replicable environment that makes it easy for everyone to live and demonstrate a loving and connected state of being. This is foundational to our approach to Highest Good society, our Highest Good of All philosophy, and our world-change methodology.
One Community has a Love Lesson Plan as part of the open source Highest Good Education component. This lesson plan is purposed to teach all subjects, to any learning level, in any environment using the central theme of “Love.” Here is the mindmap for the lesson plan:
One Community sees living and sharing the values of Love and Compassion as fundamental to our purpose to create positive and permanent global transformation. We hold each other accountable to these values. We forward their application through a focus on self-love, using love as a guidance system in decisions and relationships, as well as by making all our decisions with compassion, empathy, caring, and service to others for The Highest Good of All. In so doing, we are able to work together to make every decision with careful consideration of how we can apply Love and Connection even more with everything we do, create, and share.

"In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model.
You create a new model and make the old one obsolete. That, in essence, is the higher service to which we are all being called."
