One Community welcomes Srujan Pandya to the Engineering Team as our newest Volunteer/Consultant!
Srujan is a Mechanical Engineer with a background in design, simulation, and mechatronic systems integration. With professional experience in CAD modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and multidisciplinary R&D, he has contributed to projects spanning robotics, automotive systems, and sustainability-focused innovation. He is passionate about the intersection of engineering and ecological responsibility and believes that robust, efficient mechanical systems are key to building a regenerative future. Srujan recently completed his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a member of the One Community Engineering Team, he has contributed to the structural analysis—focusing on vertical and earthquake load scenarios—and mechanical design of the Dome Hub Connector for the open-source Duplicable City Center’s geodesic domes. His work has helped ensure the safety, efficiency, and real-world viability of the design. He verified that the structural integrity of the new connector is superior to that of traditional geodesic dome joints and has recommended moving forward with its manufacturing and implementation.
