One Community welcomes Yi-Ju Lien to the Environmental Engineering Team as our newest Volunteer/Consultant!
Yi-Ju is an Environmental Engineer specializing in Sustainable Energy and Hydraulic Engineering. Holding a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, she brings a comprehensive background in both environmental engineering principles and advanced software tools and modeling techniques. With extensive experience across diverse projects—ranging from LEED-certified stormwater management to Power System Design—Yi-Ju excels in tackling complex sustainability challenges and developing integrated solutions. Passionate about advancing sustainable infrastructure, she believes that the foundation for a sustainable future lies in responsible resource management and resilient, eco-friendly systems. Yi-Ju contributes her expertise to One Community projects by enhancing and developing open-source tutorials on DIY Earth Dam Design & Construction, hydro energy systems and stormwater management for the Earthbag Village. Additionally, she integrates detailed cost analysis into each project, ensuring practical, replicable, and cost-effective solutions for water and energy systems.
