One Community is a for The Highest Good of All 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are open source and free-sharing everything needed to build self-replicating teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities all over the world. Since it is extremely important for us to share everything we do with as many people as possible, the location we choose to build on is a major factor for success. One Community (and future communities we help to build) will be foundations for transformational global change. As community members and visitors experience a more fulfilling and enjoyable way of living while regenerating our planet, many will want to create their own version. They will be able to do this using our open source plans to replicate this way of life, incorporating their own values and preferences.

Here are the key criteria we have met with the property we have selected for the building of One Community:
We spent three years identifying the property that meets all of the above criteria and then establishing the county relationships and support that are necessary for building the first complete sustainable teacher/demonstration community that will meet International Building Code standards. Our county officials are understanding and specifically interested in helping us demonstrate how our sustainable building methods meet and/or surpass these standards. Our due diligence on this property has already accomplished:
In addition to the favorable political building environment that we have established, there are several other key elements to the property we have chosen in relation to our global goals. Each of these is described below:
The location of the property, while remote, is in a location with one of the highest national averages per-capita for tourism. 5.5 million people visit the surrounding area each year and the local hotels are booked 6 months in advance. This supports the sharing of our sustainability model and is projected to keep our eco-tourism revenue stream flowing.
The high-volume tourism traffic to the area is due to some of America’s premiere natural wonders. This beautiful area attracts people favorable to what One Community is creating and purposed to share.
The property specifically supports our building goals because it provides enough space for ongoing expansion. It also features 4 distinct building and development environments: high desert, forest, grassland, and marshland. This is helpful in showcasing our 7 different building village models and methods as foundations for teacher/demonstration communities, villages, and cities which are adaptable to the diverse environments of the world.
The property specifically supports our marketing goals because it provides an environment that could attract tourism on our first day. In our opinion, the world does not have 3-5 years to wait for people to get interested and involved while we are building. We’ve chosen a property with immediate visitor appeal so that we can begin hands-on sharing and teaching to support global replication as quickly as possible.
This property specifically supports our global transformation goals because it is inspirational. What we mean by this is that this property is one of those places that most people will want to return to, that many will wish they could live on, and that people will love to tell their friends about – even without everything we will be adding to it. For anyone who has experienced a place like this, you know it is very different from a “tourist attraction” quality and feel. It is something deeper. In our opinion, this is an essential element to inspiring and motivating people to seek something similar in their own lives, which we will teach them how to do.
We’ve invested years in finding and preparing this property and we believe it has everything that we need to accomplish all of our goals of global transformation. The next step is securing it so we can share the specifics including pictures, videos, and all other details of the location. This would help us complete our team, finalize development of the site specific details, and engage the permitting and open source project-launch blueprinting process at a much more efficient and effective level. Q: Where specifically is the property located?
Because we do not yet own the property, we are reserving sharing of the location details for only those who are intimately involved with the creation of One Community and have signed a non-disclosure agreement. Q: Why aren’t you sharing the specific location?
We aren’t sharing the specific location of the property because we’d like to secure its purchase first. Until we own the location, we see sharing it as setting unfair expectations because the location is not guaranteed. If you feel you can help, please contact us.

Q: Why not start this in another way?
We believe the world needs a model solution that is a solution-building model as quickly as possible. To make this happen, we are committed to all the details outlined on our One Community Investor Overview Page. Less comprehensive examples of sustainability, sustainability without the right location, and sustainability with a different focus already exist and have, in our opinion, not accomplished our goals. In every case we’ve looked at, they lack one or more of the key components of a complete model. For this reason, we see building anything less than what we are fully capable of, which is the full expression of One Community as detailed throughout this website, as investing energy in a direction that is counterproductive to the direction the world needs to go.
That said, we are open source to support those interested in creating any component of our project before we do and/or a less comprehensive prototype sooner, smaller, with different goals, or in a location that doesn’t meet the above criteria. Q: Why not start this in another location?
For One Community to fully achieve its goals, all the criteria listed above were identified as important. Another location could definitely meet these criteria too, but visiting and evaluating properties and building the necessary relationships for a project like ours takes a lot of time and energy. Reinvesting that time and energy in identifying a new location only makes sense if the current location is for some reason no longer an option. We are also really focused on everything needed to be shovel-ready for the build. Even if we did want to start the evaluation process over with another property, doing this before we are 100% ready to build (and sure the current location is not an option) is not an efficient use of our time.
We are open source though to support those interested in creating any component of our project in a location that doesn’t meet the above criteria.

With over five years invested in this property and relationship building for it, and with a business plan designed around it specifically, we are choosing not to restart this process and invest any energy in any other direction unless this property is no longer an option.
