Who We Are and Who We Seek

One Community is a 501(c)3 non-profit think tank. We are a 100%-volunteer organization and our mission is to help people create a better world by demonstrating a more sustainable and enriching way of living and open source everything needed for replication.consciously creating a better world as our children's children's planet This includes free-shared and “Highest Good” approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economic design, social architecture, fulfilled living, global stewardship practices, and more. Combined, we will use these to build One Community as the first of many teacher/demonstration hubs. These hubs will form a global collaborative to provide even more research, blueprints, and necessary support for successively easier, more affordable, and creative duplication everywhere.

Every member of the One Community team has a foundational set of skills that help us keep moving forward in a way that is effective, efficient, and enjoyable. Anyone interested in joining our team should exemplify these as well.

WHO WE ARE AND WHO WE ARE SEEKING

The One Community team is a group of people dedicating time to creating a better world. We live full lives outside of this project and always still dedicate a minimum of 6-10 weekly hours to keeping the project moving forward. The process is work but enjoyable because we’re creating what we feel is the most sustainable and ethical living environment we can, and that’s the environment we want to live in and share.

We currently live in different states and sometimes countries, so our work is conducted with collaborative calls, video conferencing, Google Docs, design software, etc. Through this work, our weekly calls, and visiting each other when we can, we’ve gotten to know each other well and become friends. The life we’re working towards though is living together while we construct and then maintain and share One Community.

As such, who we are and who we seek are:

  • People who love nature, animals, and other people
  • People who are hard working but still easy going
  • People who enjoy growth and a good challenge

  • People who work well both in teams and independently
  • People who see the earth as a living entity, with us as part of it

With the skill sets described above, the people who join our team as either volunteers/consultants or members typically fit one or more of the following descriptions:

 

CONSCIOUS AND CONSCIENTIOUS CREATION

The essence of One Community is assembling and functioning as a group of conscious and conscientious creators. As conscious people we know we are capable of anything we put our minds to. This gift of conscious creation has been continuously exemplified by the history of humanity and its many great achievements. As conscientious people we are aware that everything we do has an effect and we desire to maximize the positive and minimize the negative impact of that effect for The Highest Good of All. Putting these together, we are creating a global, adaptable, and lasting platform for never-ending open source collaboration and contribution to a more sustainable and fulfilling living experience for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children.
