One Community welcomes Mary Nelson to the Research Team as our newest Volunteer/Consultant!

Mary has over 15 years experience in various capacities in the horticulture industry. While the bulk of her work has been in landscape planning and design, her personal passions for sustainable landscapes and permaculture have motivated her to gain experience in greenhouse production, botanical garden management, plant propagation, and community outreach by working and volunteering with numerous nonprofits and community organizations. Mary sees the ripple effect permaculture has on living more sustainably; as a result, she jumps at any opportunity to foster her personal and professional growth. As a member of the One Community team, Mary has helped develop more succinct open-source soil amendment and botanical garden tutorials.
